Discord gives you a reputation? You are talking about the same Discord that you can make a new account at every minute you want?

Plus hardly anyone is using Discord, it´s all fake and nothing is real there.

I had to look up what GDKP even is and what I saw is that it is a system for the 1% who raid and can make gold through it. No offence, but who cares about that? Go farm gold the normal way like the 99% do, or go fishing.

While it may sound fun and convenient to earn the gold for your epic mount through raiding, it´s not really a major thing to have for the community as a whole and would set up raiders even higher than they already are.

Isn´t gaining the best loot in the game already enough motivation to raid? Why make it a gold farm? It only drives prices in AH even higher, people need to understand that the game is not played by the 1% alone.

When I used to main my druid we saw 1 DFT total “I got it” and like 2 Crul’shoraks. But I had full T2 just sitting in the bank. Hell, the one resto shammy in our raid had an entire 8 piece in the bank for the lols. Literally druid tier every week, this was true in MC too. Any druid could join our raid and leave in full tier.

Blizzard’s answer has been to find a guild.

Which doesn’t make sense for alts. Which, by definition, are less of a commitment then a main.

The game is time gated, which means you don’t have anything to do at some point with your main.

Which is lovely, until the time gate is lifted and now you need to make time based decisions.

Then you’ll have people uncommitting on their alts to focus on the mains. It’s why PuGs exist is for the uncommitted characters who want to raid every now and then whenever it’s most convenient for them.

Committed play (raiding on a schedule) is far more taxing to a person compared to uncommitted play (raiding in pugs).

Not to mention that you are more likely to get under the ‘loot council’ guild goons that gate loot to their best friends first as usual

This thread very quickly devolved into the exact reason why I left classic shortly after I reached max level - it really draws in the most obnoxious crowd for how easy the actual content is. World buffs, buying gear for gold, people camping node spawns for hours at a time, and just generally elitist players who want to be the top players.

I guess this is a good thread for someone considering trying classic to know what they’re walking into lol

I think it’s great. The prices in those GDKPs were not realistic for players who didn’t buy gold anyway.

Did you even read what i said you clown lol, they didnt even mention rmt this time around with the new servers coming. They mentioned exactly what they said for SoD. I could care less about rmt, its going to be in the game regardless if gdkp is there or not, but the banning of gdkp is amazing for what i listed, and thats exactly why its banned this time around little bro

Literally no one on the discord’s i’m on are glad about GDKP ban either. It feels like it’s only a minority that is very loud that is glad about it.
