OMG! The Horde Garrison has a natural hot springs sauna/whirl pool behind the Gardens! How can u miss that?! It is awesome. And it is all on Frostwolf clan land!

We have camp to train our camping techniques for when we kill low level alliance players… seriously!
What an enormous disappointment garrisons were.
I was so hyped to make a forsaken themed horde garrison in shadowmoon valley for my warlock. For a company that supposedly cares about player choice they sure as hell didn’t bother to offer us any.
Instead I end up with some frozen boring wasteland with open door mudhuts.

I hate to admit it, but I loved the alliance garrison theme the most.
I wish additional customization had been added to the Horde garrison. (Bloodelf, goblin or undead building styles instead of orc-only)
Alliance always get the best stuff. (Jealousy eyeing kul tiran model)
Alliance Garrison is beautiful. All 3 tiers make for great RP settings in certain contexts. I once kept a lower tier Garrison on an RP character because the Guild I joined wanted one but the GM was RPing on their main and had T3 already.
It’s 1000x better than the horde garrison.

Yes I agree I love the Alliance Garrison I love the way it looks all the buildings and everything! The horde one is awful! I love the beautiful forest that is Shadowmoon Valley and I (while it’s not my least favorite environment) I am not a fan of that bland open snowy area.
The Alliance always had the better architecture and the Garrisons were no exception lol

Man and when you collected special archeology items you got to display them in a special room dedicated to them! The alliance garrison had everything. Even a freaking druid grove.

Yeah for sure, I think the Alliance garrison was better than the Horde one.
I’m even a huuuuuuge fan of snow and cold weather, but the Horde base just looks and feels out of place to me.
If they’d created unique buildings that reflected what the Orcs would make in a super cold region, then I think it could have at least turned out cooler (bur).

That depends on how you define better. The Alliance garrison has turns to get to the mission table. Run in, turn left, turn right, turn left, for Horde you just run straight in and boom you’re there. It’s a shorter distance from the doorway of the Keep to your profession huts as Horde. The Horde garrison is more efficient to me and thus wins the battle of the betters.
Same applies to Boralus vs Dazar’alor. Everything for the Alliance is all within a few seconds of each other. The bank is almost right below the inn, the scrapper is above that, the profession dudes are behind the inn, the flight master is like 3 seconds diagonal from the inn door, the portal room is almost directly below the flight master, the mission table is across from the portal room door, the Warfront dude is a jump off the mission table boat. Perfect city, ggez, top flight zone design of the world craig.
Horde city: omegalul.
Alliance city wins hands down, exceedingly more efficient.

The Horde’s is objectively worse. A lot more work went into the Alliance town, and on top of that the Horde garrison was shipped unfinished.

As with pretty much all WoW architecture if you are into the medieval theme Alliance is better in every way.
I dont really like the alliance one
I dunno why but I never meshed with the vibe of the place.

That was supposed to be our capital city, the garrison was just our player housing.
Instead they gave up on that.
