Oh I agree. I was a shadow main before Legion as well and I haven’t really played much since because I disliked the direction they took shadow. I’ve been waiting for this day for 4 years now. It’s not exactly what I wanted but definitely a step in the right direction.

I liked the wrathchill illusion but I didn’t want to pay money to get it unless I had a reason to enjoy being in the game.
I have now preordered the epic version of SL.
I still cant resub though as it wont let me. but it expires in Jan so meh. I guess I still have my sub renewal from that point on to hold off of… just in case.
But I happy to show my gratitude for at least showing they actually are “trying” now.

The burst damage that I expect from shadow is very short windows. Like the Devouring Plague windows.
This is my only worry. I’d prefer that the Void Form window be a decent boost to a Devo Plague window rather than insanely powerful like Combustion.
I am happy with the changes overall. I just hope we don’t end up as a combust bot. Ancient Madness might make this a problem.

Great changes. Was not expecting them.
Still not good enough for me. I don’t want anything to do with Voidform, period. It literally triggers my PTSD.
If it stays this way, I won’t even be putting it on my bar.

Perhaps with testing and feedback… VF itself can be a talent. That way you, me and others can opt out of it completely. We are so close to that point now.
We got DP back, and LOTV gives a sudo version of old VF back. Now we just have to remove baseline VF and push that into LOTV instead.
Options, that’s the takeaway here.

All these gameplay changes aside…I’d just love a way to get the old shadowform appearance. After seeing spriests on Classic I had forgotten how awesome it used to look.

I’ve sent multiple suggestions to see if we get this at least as a glyph effect. I hate how “smokey” the new shadowform is. Well, I hate everything legion removed from and brought to the class.
