Zero buffs, Zero utility, low melee DPS. Even Warriors have shouts and Arms is needed.
Guess that makes Rogues the last class to get a raid spot.
okay?
what is the point of this post?
No Rogues were ever, are ever, or will ever be invited to raids in TBC.
#85IQPOSTING
Clearly the OP is burdened in sorrow of the rogue class that is soon to be unwanted into raid groups, and that he’d be lucky to even be considered being a part of one. If anything you’re unsympathetic and rude to be as ignorant to ask “what is the point of this post?”, as I’m assuming that he plays or intended to play the rogue class and is venting on the forums for the sake of clarity.
are you suggesting that there will be zero guilds that will take him lol?
i wasnt aware that you needed to min/max to clear every single boss in TBC.
sure once you get to sunwell some min/maxing is warrented but until then im pretty sure you can clear all content even with 5 rogues.
as a former raid leader / roster planner / GM I can tell you that the a DPS with good attendance / attitude / all around fun guy is much better to have than the neckbeard try hard who is a jerk 99% of the time.
Not suggesting that at all, seemed like you misunderstood his point of priority that he feels would happen.Of course guilds are still going to have rogues raiding in their core raids and alternative raids, however you’re either an instigator that enjoys feeding troll remarks or just lack emotion of understanding how other people are and lost touch with how other people feel.
Anyway, yeah all that you said about attitude and good attendance is absolutely true, but putting people down for no good reason isn’t exactly “good attitude”.
i’m not his mom lol. its not my job to console him.
if he is worried about his position in his guild then he should prepare for it.
If boomkins, enh and ele shams raided in classic there will be no issue with rogues finding a spot in bc
As false as it is, the stigma of pre-glaive Rogues in BC will affect them getting raid spots in the meta following min-max guilds. It won’t affect them in any other guild around, especially once people see that they’re not that bad when geared and played properly. I remember Rogues doing just fine in our T4 clears back in the day, once they get DST and some decent weapons they’re near the top for sure.
There were always a few rogues in ny raids back in the day. I don’t expect that to change much.
Time to make the guild “home for rogues” so that my rogue amigos can rest their heads inside instead of out in the cold dark streets…
JK I already have a raid spot lol
Yes raids will have a couple of rogues. But we are coming from classic where there were a ton of rogues raiding to TBC where maybe you take 2. On top of that you have the cut down to 25.
We have 5 rogues that want to raid as rogues in tbc. That is simply not feasible. And I suspect other guilds will have similar issues.
That’s what people seem to not understand. Rogues were amazing in classic and people are attached to their main. Beyond that rogues are gods of pvp in tbc. I suspect there will be quite a few rogue players looking for guilds with minimal guilds looking for rogues.
Except that rogues actually do pretty amazing melee dps when you put them in a group with an arms warrior and enh shaman + slapping might/kings on them.
Their utility is high melee DPS and interupts which can be crucial on some fights. Sorry this isn’t the same env as vanilla where you bring 26/40 classes are rogues and fury warriors.
There’s one or two flex spots in a raid roster where rogue can fit in. Your warlocks and hunters might also appreciate not having so much loot competition. Kicks are also nice, they have a threat drop, and CoS keeps them out of trouble.
There’s a spot for a rogue, even in a sweaty guild. They just won’t be stacked. It’s gonna be okay, we’re all gonna make it.
Ah but what if your guild leader IS a tryhard jerk
As glad as I am to reassure the OP that yes, he can raid ANYTHING he wants to as a Rogue in TBC (seriously, there’s SO many options), I’m doubly glad that I’m playing an Spriest, aka the firefighter class that everyone’s always happy to see.
I don’t get why so many people are convinced they won’t see 100% of the game on their favorite Boomkin or whatever. Seriously, guys. Stop listening to the sweaties lol. World Buffs are gone. Spreadsheets are hilarious. Just log in, pewpew, and enjoy the game.
Unless the rogue is forming a pug of bt or other raids, is the guild lead, or is a man with alot of gold for gdkp.
It would be nice if they could make devistate still castable and cause threat with improved expose armor up as a small change. Not have sunder debuff and expose stack just make it so warrior tanks can still threat gain. Because imp expose armor is quite a good reason to bring at least one if you are going to min max your raid comp.
