So really how many would race change their Blood Elves to High Elves if they became playable on the Alliance

Nobody turned into blood elves, the nation renamed itself. Those who didn’t let go of Quel’thalas and its people. Look at the eyes of blood elves in the start of the campaign in WC3 frozen throne

We went down quite the path, it would have been unfortunate if they trampled all over that history to have us fight next to humans again.

No I can’t play Alliance. I just can’t do it. I tried for all of Legion and had a Draenei Shaman and this Priest was Draenei for most of it. I even have some Void Elves now, too which are great. But it just feels weird. I feel like a visitor in a strange land that will never be my own. Horde is what I’ve always played and it’s my home. Even if we’re ugly and dirty, I just can’t play anything else.

We are already high elves, it would be a waste to pay to simply move to the more boring faction

Seeing that there are highelves still out there on the alliance side. There still can be a chance of adding highelves. Not all high elves were in silvermoon .

Void Elves are technically twice-tainted elves. First by the fel, then by the void.

Nope, blizzard wouldn’t add two models of a single Horde race to the Alliance while the Horde has one.

For all the “horde bias” sentiment on the Alliance side, I find it oddly optimistic to assume High Elves will be an Alliance race if they’re ever added to the game.

I mean technically we did when we were affected by the fel magic and got the green eyes and magic addiction issues. The High Elves are those who weren’t there for that and still have Blue eyes and weren’t using Mana Tap to suck the magic out of poor defenseless creatures at level 2 way back when.

Even though I already race changed mine into void elves, I would race change them again to high elves in a heartbeat.

Yeah, the high elves also suffered from magic addiction, sated by siphoning from random arcane-based things. Speaking of which, fel is just a different type of magic, one that didn’t change our race. However, if you DID happen to consume too much of it, you became wretched, similar to how you would if you consumed too much arcane.

This is a very strange argument, since there are lots of races where Blizzard has two models on one faction and none at all on the other. But if you care so much about it, Alliance could have high elves as a regular race, and Horde could have Sanlayn as an allied race, and and each side would have the same number of elf races and allied races.

Pfft, now what’s the difference between sucking the life energy outta something and killing it as any hunter would do? Alliance high elves are such pansies, glad blood elves weren’t put on Alliance side to ruin their story too.

Out of curiosity, what are you talking about?

I think many of those that would change already did with Void Elves. Those left are either happy being horde or just refuse to give up their undead wifu.

I would level new High Elves. My Blood Elf mage is staying a Blood Elf.

Adding highelves for alliance would mean easy development. Just change a few features. Maybe different racials. Or they could offer half elves like Arator. He has the looks of a highelf. You know humans and elves have gotten together before. Not just Alleria and Turalyon.

Half elves are something realistic I could get behind. I like that idea, as the actual High Elves are split into too many very small factions with different loyalties

While it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread but , both Durotar Orcs & Maghar Orcs share a model, both Tauren & Highmountain Tauren share a model, Draenei & Lightforged Draenei share a model, & Dwarves & Dark Iron Dwarves share a model. At least I think this was the point the poster was trying to make.

Oh, then that poster missed my point about how there would be two Horde models on the Alliance while the Horde had one blood elf model. Thank you for clarifying
