So premades are... actually a problem

It’s not fair, but random bgs are not supposed to be fair… they are random, it’s right there in the name. It’s random, sometimes you get a group sometimes the enemy gets one, sometimes you have no healers sometimes they don’t, sometimes you have undergeared team sometimes they do. It’s the nature of random bgs.

I will turn the question around. Why should it not be allowed? Why shouldn’t I be able to que up some random BGs with a couple guildies while we wait for everyone else to log on so we can do rated games? Just because little timmy got his feelings hurt when our group stomped the game? Tough, this is a social game you are allowed to play with friends.

To be clear I am speaking of 2-5 man groups. That is by design part of the game. Syncing up multiple 5-man groups is a different can of worms, that is not what I am talking about here.

Pretty sure this is in reference to the map. Random Battleground.
A fair fight is different than fair competition.
Rough example but having a team of 5 (2 healers 3 dps) or even three teams of 3 (healer/dps) running around a DWG coming up against a two player team with a single healer in tow. Starts to lean into an unfair advantage before the gates open?
There are many examples of this phrase “unfair advantage” out there, it’s pretty cut and dry with this situation.
It’s quite possible it’s just how this game currently works/working. :dracthyr_shrug:

I can’t wait to see what the next excuse is once blizzard decides to make Random BGs solo queue because of all the “premade” whining.

Sure that was probably the intention from Blizz back when they named it way back in the day.

I’m just saying the nature of un-rated bgs is randomness. In team compositions, number of healers, amount of gear on your team, hell even if you get a full team or not, is up to the whims of randomness. And none of that is even touching on premades.

My overall point being that random bgs are almost never fair, it’s just the nature of the beast, so people arguing that you shouldn’t be able to play with friends because it’s unfair is just silly. Removing the ability to group wouldn’t all of a sudden magically make random bgs super balanced and fair, it’d still be a sh!tshow. All that would accomplish is further reduce the social nature of the game, which personally I don’t think would be good.

and LFR etc didnt already render the social aspect completely mute?

Please explain to me why you need (ima play with my friends) to BG against pugs?

do you know what MMO stands for? Lol

Exactly your talking non-sense. The point stands. Premades are not for randoms.

People don’t want to be cheaters like premade raiders.

They have morals.

It’s not helpful to suggest that they should cheat too.

This is just bonkers imo. Why go to the extremes when a small modicum of matchmaking would help alleviate some stresses.
Wow is very organic in its random matches which is as classic as it gets, this (imo) would be the hard part to balance.
There are lots of comparisons to what an competitive match consists of for reference.

Likewise considering I can play a video game without a support group…

sounds like a you problem :dracthyr_shrug:

So you need a support group / players in order to pvp? that sounds like a you problem

I just play with friends, don’t hurt yourself with the mental gymnastics.

I mean it reduced it sure but it’s not completely gone no. I raided last tier with a guild, we we’re all friendly, seemed pretty social to me.

And I’m not sure why you think LFR had anything to do with PvP lol. Outside of random BGs and Solo Shuffle you have to find, or make, a group… which involves talking to other humans, ya know socializing.

Can you point to where I said it’s needed? There is no need to group up for randoms, of course, literally no one is arguing that. But… have you considered the fact that it might be fun? Playing a game with friends, hanging out bantering in discord, is in fact a fun thing to do. Believe it or not some, if not alot, of people play games to have fun.

I also play with 4-5 friends against 9-15 players that arent a group in Random BGs. I actually hope you arent as deluded irl as you appear here

I’m deluded for playing a multiplayer game with friends? :astonished:

what does that even mean???

deluded? can you use that in another sentence for me please.

I never said it was not fun, but perhaps limit it against other pugs so others who solo queue only face other solo queue
