So now that AV is worse

So. Twice as many Alliance get to attack stormpike when its turned grey by the Horde

The ally recall spot is silly. It’s right on top of the flag so you can defend the flag and kill people recalling at the same time. I have never recalled and lived while the horde were at the flag.

It’s pretty simple to have some horde facing the flag/recall point and others facing the bridge. There’s no hypothetical about it. So long as the horde have managed to get a good chunk of their team into the base and they aren’t completely hopeless they are going to hold DB.

But are they in the flag or on the bridge?

The difference is Horde doesn’t have to hold SPGY because they’ve already moved across the bridge and tagged the relief hut. Then all they have to do is hold the bridge. Generally the only defense of SPGY at the flag are the stragglers that are still running up from SHGY.

So the bridge is great when the horde have it?

You must not be aware of the exploit that populates the 2 towers with horde archers. All while avoiding the congested minefield of alliance NPCs.

What’s actually pretty cool is the PTR changes do nothing as of right now, none of these changes will fix AV for alliance.

However come TBC if these changes carry over and you add in patch 2.3 and 2.4, Alliance looking pretty strong in that version of AV.

Can’t Rez at caves anymore unless no graveyard, so we can use the bridge choke as a defense now, and with the current changes horde can’t back door it.

Since no one can Rez at cave, alliance can cap and hold IBGY now since you will now Rez 10 at a time at FWGY which is also like 35 seconds away from IBGY VS the 20 seconds cave Rez is.

Cave gets moved back, now fights will start in FOS. Instead of at SHGY.

Alliance looking good in TBC AV.

Yes.

It’s not like they are that far away from each other. You have a few people trapping/blizzarding the bridge and a few rogues/wars/shaman on the flag to stop anyone from getting away. Heals and other ranged between them can take care of both.

Do you really not see this? You don’t seem to be that ignorant of how the game works. Are you just being disingenuous? That disappoints me.

The bridge is great for whomever has it.

With the Res situation as it is, the only way Alliance really gets to use it would be if we gave up the defense or SPGY, OR we made sure we were standing on the end of the bridge while defending the flag so that when we died we Res at the relief hut not the cave.

You just get to talk hypothetical living in magical Christmas land where everything you say comes true and everything I say can’t possibly happen because of rocket surgery. What is anyone supposed to say? Just make up a scenario in your mind and call the other person ignorant.

Ahh, you’re just a troll then. Disappointing, I thought we could have an actual conversation. Good bye.

But it should be trivially easy to recapture stormpike for the Alliance by the same logic that makes iceblood impossible to capture.

At that point you have stormpike and the horde don’t have aid station yet…it should be easy to clean out the bridge and DB with the help of a few recalls.

For once I agree with you. It would be ideal if they did this early rather than wait for TBC. #sigh.

You’re right, we are literally all so dumb we can’t figure out how to win AV.

We got WSG and AB down, but our small alliance brains can’t fathom how to win in AV.

Could you please help is out with a new strat???

Maybe later you can also teach me how to raid If you have the free time.

No. I want to talk. But you just assert yourself to be true and deny anything else in your hypothetical. Nothing constructive comes from that.

Sure. Get the leeches out and get ready to grind out hour-long games. But until people are willing to play AV for anything but the rep rewards, it’s going to be rough.

There’s no reason to do AV other than the rewards… except the unreliable, “they just want to”. For Alliance it’s worse honour than AB/WSG with a much lower winrate.

And that’s why you’re losing. You’re playing for rep. Not winning. Would you play a 3 hour AV to win, even if all the rep was exhausted by the 15 minute mark?

Why do you think people aren’t bothering to try to win in AV at this point? This happened before people just farmed rep, this happened since they deleted premades. Why do you think it’s just not efficient honour gain?

Is that a ‘no’ to my question?
