What’s upsetting is that there is no reward for LFR.
50 wins above 2400 rating. Or the seasonal PvP mount requiring a fill the bar quest above x rating (either 1k or 1400)
There is no good argument, there never is other than ticking off boxes, but fact is Blizzard had this in game as an any difficulty raid for quite some time only to pull the rug out less than one week prior to the raid release.
It’s a principle of the matter that Blizzard are being greedy, keep LFR players subbed knowing there is nothing else for them to gain, try and entice them into normal raiding now that it’s just around the corner for more subs, or buy tokens for carries since it’s ‘only normal’.

I would like to know what people who do LFR or bust do on any season in general.
It’s the same as there being no rewards for heroic dungeons nowadays.
Probably because blizzard knows that organized groups are the core of wow. That’s what made it successful back in 2004, that’s what’s keeping the population up now.

Then I guess they won’t be getting one mount out of 172 released in shadowlands, with only a handful being rating or raiding exclusive.
You’re conflating “cannot” with “will not.”
This is one of those fancy if then’s I read so much about.
If they will not do three whole entire raids on normal in 4-5 months…
…Then they will miss out on one mount. Out of 160+ available to to them in SL.
This is not a difficult concept. Either they will or they won’t.

Indeed. Overworld rewards better gear than LFR. Hell, the only reason to do LFR, outside of this tier dropping tier set, was… to see story. Huh, went full circle to its original inception.

The same thing they have done all expansion. Lfr never awarded a mount so I don’t see how its any different

Hindsite is very short now, but im actually thankful they made this decision. It nudges me away from the game. I cant be subbed for more than 3 month’s at a time. Im too fully aware of the carrot, and the snare. I dont even care when i get a mount drop or a great piece of gear. The cycle is meaningless, its only fun for a short time, then becomes a thirst fest for another hit of dopamine.
That’s the exception. NW mount: mythic only
KR/FH/UR in BFA: mythic only.
Junkyard in BFA: mythic only.
Nighbane in RTK: mythic only.
It’s still a reward different to every other dungeon mount they have released in the last couple of years, you can queue for it in group finder.

One could argue Tazavesh is more difficult then most raid encounters in LFR.
I did raiding back in TBC, WotLK, MOP, and WoD as a main tank healer. I don’t miss the hours of wipes, the egos of the raid leader fighting with the main tank, having to push through content when I just want to go to bed, getting chewed out by the lead heals because I sneezed during a phase that requires cds on the tank and caused a wipe. Nah. I will pass. I’m enjoying my retirement from raiding lol
More salty it took Blizzard 3 months to fix the text on the achievment. They’ve widdled away the good faith of the community too much to do those types of mistakes. Should have been clarified sooner.
Blizzard makes most of their money from microtransactions and they need even more of them because their population is declining. Go look at their quarterly reports. They dont report sub numbers anymore, just overall MAUS.
