And that’s the part people are missing, the achievement being in game is one thing, but spending time getting gear, levelling alts and getting ready for LFR is another. All that time wasted by many players in anticipation when if they had of told us from the beginning it would not be available in LFR it would have saved a lot of time for the players.

Glad they fixed the achievement to reflect that it was NEVER going to be in LFR. now more people might try to raid for once

Honestly it won’t happen. If players didn’t raid normal+ sooner given the many additional possible rewards, this cat is not going to entice them.
There was for normal+ that was not in LFR:
- Mount from the Nine
- Mount from Sylvanas
- Bow from Sylvanas
- TWO mounts from Jailer
- Glory achievements - 3 mounts (Sure they can come back, but they could also get it now)
That’s 7 mounts and a legendary bow, add in the M+ mounts and we have 4 more because chances are LFR players don’t do M+, I know players who up until last week where still chasing KSM.
Add in the mount from NW, another reason to run group content, the Slime Serpent which needs a good iLVL to obtain plus the Tazavesh hard mode mount and now we have 14 mounts that need a decent iLVL and mostly organised group content to obtain.
You really think a single slime cat is enough to entice LFR players from stepping outside LFR/heroic dungeons?

Some people need a simple nudge in the right direction to start something and yes many will start raiding for this, even after slimy cat.
you’ll survive with only the other 240 mounts you never use. you’ll be fine missing THIS ONE.

Get the highest gear I can get and blow through the first few levels in DF. I’ll need that extra power to keep up since I read all quest text, and I know many in my raid team won’t.
Same thing as if S4 didn’t happen, decline to participate in normal+ raiding.
Yeah this changes nothing. Without this short season 4, you’re not playing anyway. The only thing LFR cat might have added is MAYBE you get on for a night, once a week for 3 weeks and then out.
And you think in their infinite wisdom, Blizzard would willingly pass on those three weeks of sub time to shove it to the LFR players? Seems like a bad plan.
The lack of empathy is stunning.

When you decline to participate in content, you also decline the rewards from said content. This is not a hard concept.

LFR though gets no rewards.
Correction I’ll be fine with the other 700 mounts I never use, but I also raid with a guild, so I will be fine, I will get this mount. But this isn’t about me, it’s on principle that Blizzard are giving basically nothing new for LFR players and have been leading them on, even with players actively talking about getting the slime cat from LFR since we knew it was a thing they never once clarified it.
It all stinks, the only reason they would not clarify this mount sooner is to keep players subbed with false hopes.
If that was the case with how many additional rewards there was already for normal+ raiders than the LFR crowd would for sure have started raiding normal+, fact that many haven’t tells me that no single individual reward will entice them.
“Oh but it’s guaranteed”, yeh well so is the AOTC mount and if you clear mythic enough, that’s a guarantee also.
Empathy? I don’t owe them nothing. They’re willingly removing themselves from content that rewards stuff. I’m tired of these threads tbh. At first I was Yeah Blizzard messed up with this last minute clarification . Now after… what feels like 200 threads about it, I’m more like To hell with them.
And you’d rather have normal get no reward of their own?

Three raids in 4-5 months compared to one raid per 6 months and many of these players cannot even do one raid, how on earth do you think they will complete three raids in a shorter time?
By limiting yourself to LFR only, you are declining to participate in normal/heroic/mythic. In doing so, you also decline the rewards for normal/heroic/mythic.
I don’t see this much anger about dungeon mounts being mythic only, or glory mounts requiring normal.
