So much for the prepatch event

The event has had all the fun and flavor sucked out of it. Life goes on. I was just hoping for something memorable like the first scourge event but nope.

Well it’s a shame you didn’t find it fun, i certainly did had fun with it. :man_shrugging:

I don’t know, it’s pretty memorable enough for me, it has a lot more to do then just simply ghouls vs living horde mode. It has interconnecting story bits, you can get rewards for participating, heck, even the ghouls vs zombies are still in there.

I do agree the zombies need buffing though.

How can you have fun with it when it’s not been released yet?

Rehashed warfront gear, yea no thanks.

PTR?.. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I didn’t say it’s good, infact i agree that the rewards are very underwhelming, but at least it’s there if you want it.

The event is dead for me. That’s what the whiners wanted. They won. It’s done.

A paying customer silenced again by the whiny minority. Hope an admin unblocms your post, no violation expressing your grief in a calm way. I too am sad that this event is going to feel more like a raise thats only a nickel rather than a promotion.

Heh, dead. :zombie:

But i think your being a little hyperbolic here. The fun of this event still can be found, but if you don’t want to enjoy it, that’s fine. I just don’t see how the event is ruined… (And before you say it, it did came to light that the quests and such are in the first iteration of the PTR’s prepatch, i just didn’t get a chance to see them, so to me, it’s an improvement on before. To everybody else, it’s normal.)

Do i think their needs to be more zombies and make them a bit more powerful so theirs an even level playing field here between players vs ghouls? sure.

I was wondering myself why the topic is flagged, considering the OP didn’t say anything offensive in that OP as well. Maybe it was a repeat thread.

Why play an MMORPG if you only want to play zombie-horde mode? There are plenty of games out there for that.

Yep. This is the kind of stuff that’s neutered WOW more and more as the years go by. Why play an MMORPG if you don’t want to have world events like this which force you to work with other players from time to time? There are plenty of single player games out there for your predictable easy game fixes.

they should start using their own inhouse testers

all these leaks and changes before things are even out… hype killer.

i should stay away from forums for ~6months before any xpacks lol

Like I said this is why blizzard doesn’t make interactive or engaging world content. People would just melt down if they had to engage with the world around them.

Not really. What’s the phrase that kept getting thrown around? Your fun isn’t my fun? This event won’t be fun or good. Just another boring prepatch event that is contained to maybe a 30 yard area with ghouls that are so weak they might as well not exist.

Not seeing it.

Everything will be okay don’t worry.

Oh no doubt life will go on. I was just hoping to be excited for this event but just another in a long line of wow disappointments.

Well, you may believe what you believe i guess.

“Fun is subjective”? I think that’s the phrase you were looking for.

You know it’s interesting, because this is the same exact phrase i said to those defending the event, as well saying “your idea of fun isn’t the same as other people’s” and i know i’m not the only one who said that. After all the agruments made by the subset of the pro-event community saying that opting out would ruin the event somehow, as well having a pop at anybody who didn’t like the event or wanted to opt out of it, and i have continuously bought the fact that not everybody will have fun with it (as well pointing out the inconsistencies/contradictions in their arguments), it’s only now you start using that phrase because you think this event isn’t fun anymore. Very interesting.

Well you know what they say…

And before you say it, i don’t think my fun is the correct way to have fun either. I understand if you don’t find the event fun or do find it fun, i’m not going to tell you you’re wrong for not enjoying it.

Heck, i had fun with the first iteration of this event playing as a zombie. It does feel nice hunting down survivors and such. But being a Survivor not so much really, and the event did got old for me. The second iteration seemed to be flipped and now it’s the zombies that are weak. And i do think they should stirke a balance between zombies/players power here. While i don’t think a single zombie should intsa kill a player with just a sneeze, i also don’t think a single player should survive against 10 zombies chasing them.

Really weird that you never commented on how i agreed with that zombies should be a bit more buff and in numbers though.

You made the comment:

You fail to understand why some of us want the chaotic version of the event. You cannot see things from my side. I can’t engage with someone who has read all these comments (not just in this thread) and still makes snide backhanded comments like this.

At the expense of others.

You know, behavior that’s gotten people banned in various games, including this one.

It’s called griefing.

Actually we can see your side and are perfectly willing to give it to you, inwardly mode. We just want you to see our side and let us do our normal PvE portion of the event.

My favorite thing from this? The only part I will remember or have 2 months from now? The toys and transmogs.

Imagine different players wanting different things. You can have yours, now let me have mine

Wait… Gear?? IS THERE NEW TRANSMOG COLOURS!?

Well it’s more to use his argument against him because he is saying “if you don’t want to play with world event in an MMORPG, you should just leave and play single player games that are predictable and easy”, when really anybody can make that argument with anything. Like this for example “Oh what’s that? You don’t want to work to get to get a reward in a video game, well then, stick to yours mobile games or whatever” or “You don’t want to solve very basic issues you have on your computer? go back to consoles”, things like that.

It only serves pretty much a non-argument really. But if you are gonna use this, you have to realize this applies both ways.

Then explain to me why some of you want the chaotic version of the event. Really, i’m all ears. :ear:

Edit: Pardon the double comment, my internet is being poo poo all the sudden.
