So, Mechagon City is no longer accessible for Alts:

… Except if you were here before the rep change, you can have multiple characters who can do so. This is still accessible, they just closed access by making it an Embassy quest from Aysa.

You will only ever have (pre-rep removal) any characters who did the original quest from Kelsey.

If you’re new - you will only have ONE single character on your account able to access this area.

Mechagnomes who start here can’t even use the connected teleporter to go into their own city, either. This is a fully functional city.

Quoting myself, as apparently you’re not really reading this and just repeating yourself. I get what you want, you want to go into Mechagon on a new gnome and RP there, but it isn’t worth the cost.

Considering we have Shadowforge and the Nightborne area of Suramar, this doesn’t really make sense. OP is talking about accessible city areas, not a questing area.

… This is like saying Lightforged shouldn’t have access to the Vindicar, Void Elves to the Rift, etc., you know that right?

This is an uninstanced City and you can even /who people in it. It’s an actual map and non-instanced. Mechagnomes literally START in this city, this exact map, this uninstanced map, but cannot go to their own city with the actual object that is used in the quest right down their own ramp because they’re not flagged for using it due to some error.

I can /yell and anyone inside of it can see my yell in other parts of the city close enough (who had unlocked it in previous scenarios for the quest that is no longer accessible). The quest, in fact, for unlocking Mechagnomes that uses the exact same teleporter that doesn’t function for Mechagnomes, though they can go to it and it’s right down the ramp from where you start.

I just logged onto my Mechagnome (which I created after BFA) and phased into the city. What are you talking about?

I think you’re mixing up different issues and just malding off your own confusion.

So. Look at the screen shot. Run down the ramp. You will see an object called, “Mechagon City Teleport.”

At the base of the ramp. There’s an entire city that teleporter is connected to - if you’ve done the quest on an alt. Mechagnomes literally cannot go to their own city.

Not entirely surprised they moved the quest, since being greeted with “hero, come quickly; Mekkatorque is fading fast!” every single time you visited Boralus on any character was absolutely annoying.

It sounds like they just need to add an account-wide flag to the teleporter to make up for the functionality being described here that was lost. Definitely do not need to move that quest back to Boralus.

And that’s what I’m trying to say. It seems like some people need a step-by-step guide as to why this is an issue or what the issue is. I will be hopping on my exalted alt who did the quest and doing a step-by-step picture guide of the problem and show the Mechagnome starting area on it, then show how they can use the teleporter, but a Mechagnome can’t.

  5. If you begin on a Mechagnome (posting previous screen shots). You cannot use the teleporter in 3 and 4. Nor can any character ever use them again or access the teleporter in Part 1, except the one who did the quests before this or, if you’re unfortunate to be a new player, you can only access this ENTIRE CITY on a SINGLE character. Do not delete it.
