its announced to release in first quarter of 2022!
Omg watching the Soulfist preview is making me a fanboy
im really eyeing gunslinger lol
This is something I can get behind. WoW has killed me on wanting ‘story-driven’ mmos. The narrative is just so hokey.
What is SoM?
The vanilla wow remake that just launched. Season of Mastery, I think.
It’s WoW Classic. Again.
Are there some unreleased classes that they haven’t listed on their site?
Apparently the wiki said there’s going to be Astrologer, Musician, Alchemist and also Arcana and Sorceress for Mage
yeah there’s a couple they havent released, one is too OP and needs retuning before it’s released
but they’ll be updated in after release over time
If you like Warcraft, and you have reasons to play, then you should keep playing. Don’t let other people affect you so much. They will come and go. You should do what makes you happy.
The little things in WoW keep its players coming back. When you get too wrapped up in the flow of traffic, sure, you can be swayed by the crowd. Always keep reminding yourself what you like and stick to it.
Leave, more will join. May not be alot, but still an adequate amount.
I mean, with level scaling, it’s pretty much the same stupid game. Also, you’re lucky to still have a guild. I’d say 98% of my guild was gone just 2 months in to shadowlands.
It happens every expac, they’ll find their way back.
It’s kind of a good thing. WoW is going to have to be more competitive if they want the player base’s money now. And honestly, blizzard deserves what they’re getting SL is trash.
And trash is the worst possible way because you can clearly see how it could have been better but just wasn’t made that way.
It sure as hell hasn’t happened like this. Even during WoD my guild was still pretty strong. This expansion ended up with me being the only person (in my guild) who was online.
Worse than that, the 9.2 interview perfectly matches Einstein’s definition of insanity, literally throwing in our faces stuff we’ve seen for the past MONTHS and that exists in every zone and then calling it "NEW!" and "amazing!"… goldfish are smarter than this…literal goldfish. Cause at least THEY (the goldfish) have a memory span of AT LEAST 3 months…
They were already behind schedule in the Shadowlands alpha as a result of waves of more that 1000 layoffs over all that started early in BfA, which were publicly announced as solely a strategy to improve short term profits.
How much loyalty would you have toward an employer that essentially tells you that employees don’t matter? You would figure you might be out in the next layoff. And what happens is the good people, the most productive people, start looking for more secure jobs in that situation, because they have more options.
They were already far behind being ready for release when activision decided to push up the release date. My mythic raider friend decided not to purchase Shadowlands because it was clearly not going to be ready to play, and has not subscribed since mid 8.3.
Don’t forget that Blizzard has the industry reputation as being glacially slow to respond to the need for change because of its many layered bureaucratic management system. So they were already in a mess when covid came, followed by legal issues. It’s really no surprise that 9.1.5 was almost entirely removal of annoyances that were probably intended to be implemented in 9.3, so they were mostly done.
It won’t be clear what 9.2 will be like until after it is implemented. Given the development cycle, can they even make changes to 10.0 at this point that will repair the decades of good will they have squandered?
the real question is if they will stay longer. shadowlands was disastrous pretty quick on players quitting. idc i’ll play wrath when it comes out either way i liked my sham in wrath and hate it right now good time to quit retail if they don’t do something.
Some fixes that may help would be going back to BFA raid loot system, better balancing passes and more frequent, focusing more on fixing bugs/issues then nerfing fun…
Eh, Runescape is a good distraction sometimes. It has the most unique questing of any MMORPG, in that they feel like actual quests instead of a list of hunting tasks. It’s definitely a relic of older game design, but it has a certain charm. If you don’t have nostalgia for it, RS3 is the way to go. It’s better for PvE (and graphics, but I mean, its Runescape) anyway. It DOES have actionbars and all that so its closer to traditional tab target MMOs if you prefer that (you can turn it off though), but its tick-based system and grid movement does make it a little bit janky. You get used to it though.
As someone really big into Runescape back in 2006, I’ll never understand why OSRS is so popular compared to RS3, but I still think RS3 is a good side game, and you can multitask it and something else fairly well if you’re doing a more mindless skill grind.
Also its mobile now so that’s an option.
