So im gonna start this discussion

that’s not true i have a lot of apathy for other people in this game

Calling someone bad–is an insult. It doesn’t offer any type of help, or means to improve, all it indicates is someone is negative at something.

This is why FF14 has a better community here. You can call someone bad, but you’ll be suspended for doing so without offering help. That’s a good thing and WoW probably would be a better game if they took a more aggressive step in curbing this mentality.

all this says to me is this is a guy with some skill. I wonder what percentile of players (casual or hard core) is actually capable of doing the same with the same ilvl.

Serious question, since I don’t really have a dog in this fight.

first came the welfare gear because people cried about having other patches in an expansion relevant. then came class homogenization because people couldn’t stand other classes having useful abilities. now casuals want raiding level gear for doing world quests.

eventually the game is just going to be CoD.

So a much larger game with a bigger market to sell to?

Sounds awful.

It’s simply a descriptor. You’ve got casual players, hardcore players, solo players, group players, good players, bad players. It’s like getting mad at someone calling the red fish in red fish blue fish red because “blue fish have a better overall reputation”. I mean, it is what it is, you’re still a red fish.

Okay. I mean, that game exists over there, I’m not going to say “go play FFXIV instead” because apparently that’s a violation of the forum code of conduct, but it is a game that can be played. WoW is what it is, and FFXIV is what it is, and it is up to players to decide what game they want to play.

Popularity isn’t the end-all be-all for quality. I mean, more people play Wordle than World of Warcraft, does that make Wordle “superior” to World of Warcraft? lol.

But what your describing there is a color, and has no barring on an individuals personal skills. So again you don’t have a point, other than you enjoy calling others bad, which tells me your emotional IQ is low, and I’m sure while you think “Blunt talk” to be endearing, most adults actually find it unprofessional, and child-like.

The mask comes off. Can’t stand facing the truth so he starts slinging insults.

I think that really says it all.

I’m not the one running around calling people bad. lol.

And yet you’re the one who is insulting other posters directly because you’re mad.

I could care less for mythic tbh. Hardly care for heroic raiding. I don’t care for the loot in those modes just want to have fun. But the issue is it feels kind of force to run through those content to get gear just to raid.

Before I didn’t need to run mythic dungeons just to run normal dungeons but now its kind of gotten out of hand. I’ve ran more mythic dungeons than I did in the last couple of expansions. Its fun I’ll give them that but the ilvl requirement jump is just massive for some reason with the infinite amount of grind I have to do. Not to mention, the RNG is awful.

But I could care less for high-end content. I want to run PvP but not rated.

If they come in expecting solo content, then they better expect older content that are meaningless, systems like Torghast, and questing. Other than that, leave the solo out of dungeons and raiding.

Right now being an exception to this too. Comparing to “the norm” from previous expansions, a relatively fresh 60 with just OK gear should’ve been able to solo most mythic Legion raid bosses when SL launched…not the case. Some classes are still struggling in mythic Antorus. :man_shrugging:t2:

I can’t help but wonder if the real reason people here are trying to put a squeeze on gear is some cynical dream they can push a couple of percent of the non-competitive people in buying carries.

IMO, RNG needs a huge buff if that’s the case. As a cause, I expect no farther than possibly heroic raiding. I dont cry for high-end rewards and such because I just don’t have that kind of time to run those content in the first place.

Byproduct of games age and as you mentioned, the inflation that comes with it perhaps?

Why does this matter? What do you care if someone got the highest ilvl gear from a different source than someone else? You shouldn’t be doing content to get gear you should be doing content because enjoy that content.

Uh… literally this reason. And no, most casuals aren’t asking for high-end raid gear. We are asking for gear that can at least kind of compete with high-end raid gear. Crafted gear or PvP gear that can’t be absolutely stepped on by high-end raiders.

This is the most important thing imo.

I want to do content on multiple classes on multiple realms and faction.

Having to gear myself as a pre-requisite to doing competitive content is a huge deterrent.

Edit before someone takes it to extreme : I don’t mind SOME gearing up. A light amount.

Casual to me is time played= 1,017 Days, 24, 500 hours since Dec. 8th 2004. Does this look like Casual to anyone ? Adult Female IRL over 50. Long time players deserve a boost in gear level plus a title to go with it. With getting older eye fatigue sets in, I stopped Raiding in WOD. I still PVP and make money doing quests. RNG /Titanforging was always a boost if a piece of gear popped … It’s like playing the lottery… You top 3 Nay Sayers took that away with your constant whining. Gratz you win…are you all happy now??
