I disagree respectfully. Most of the mechanics are not unique and are very similar to other dungeons. It doesn’t make it that much easier without addons though but “stand out of circle, strafe to dodge Craggy surface, interrupt, etc.” These mechanics have existed since Classic WoW, just at different rates. This game is not innovating anything new with expansions outside of lore or new features. Mechanical gameplay wise, this game has been static for a long time. Blizz’s answer was to try to push for MORE mechanical requirements in the ideas that it made the game harder and thus more fun. I’m having A LOT more fun than BfA but realistically speaking there’s nothing different from Shadowlands right now to BfA. You’re basically stuck spamming mythics and Nathria/Arena and then doing World Quests to try to salvage what little resources you can in a time gated area. Which is literally what you did in BfA
Truth be told, doing all the mechanics are fairly easy enough with addons but they are not fun. Healers and DPS during mechanics; if those players are playing the cclass/spec because they enjoy it, as soon as you enter mythics, that starts to decrease. You have all these mechanics that forces you to stop performing your role of putting damage out or healing up your teammates to dodge mechanics. Sometimes it’s more controlled and fun while stil being painful (IMO Sanguin Depths mythic+) and at other times, it’s just a chaotic mess that even if you stay on top of everything/top dps/stay alive it’s just not fun it’s constantly frustrating or annoying.
Healers especially like ones who need to channel often like monks. Monk healing feels fluid and CAN be fun but with all the mechanics, your rotations no longer feel fluid but feel like a burden. Yeah you can adjust but it’s like playing AQ40 in classic. The trash are easy if you know mechanics and prepare for them. Doesn’t make them less cancerous.

The system is working though. Canerous is the new fun term. embrace the feels man.
Yeah I’m not disagreeing with that part. Just the fact that putting in more mechanics doesn’t actually make it harder or more fun. It’s like you’re trying to have fun but every 5 seconds someone interrupts you from being able to enjoy the moment.

so yeah…what you´re basically saying you´re leaving the game, and the whole fault for that is on you!
its not everything, im just quoting in a group example to show up something in common, your problem here is simple… you have a loser attitude! do u know that guy, that never do any move on a girl, or anything about going out, or communicate or anything, and then he says because “no man, its because its gonna be like that” or “its not gonna work” or “its because of someone like me, the result will just be…”.
thats a loser attitude, you dont want strive for anything, because of the frustration that builds up such things happens to occur, you dont wanna even try to do anything.
I mean sure, everyone does have a level of resilience, me for example i can hardly deal with the frustration for farming rank for pvp to get gladiador, its too frustrating for me.
But my case is an extreme example of the top of the top situations in a pvp cenario, in your case its not even out of the casual player territory.
Your sin my friend… is being a dawdler.
Wow, what a middle school argument.
Why would anyone pay to not have fun?

Try FFXIV. Community is really good and helpful. Classes are more rotation based than proc reliance. Boss fights are less of a cluster***k since the abilities are timed and pattern based(plus boss music is insanely good). And you can level all classes on one character! You do have to get through a metric crapton of story quests though. If your not a story driven game fan you’ll hate it.

xpac is new true but we are in the endgame
people were in the end game in 8hrs
raid tier is down
m+ are being pushed
Same 8 dungeons for the next 2 years…hope you aren’t burned out on them yet

Why do people say FFXIV combat is slower? Yes is STARTS slow but even that 2.5 sec GCD gets to be unnoticable later on. So much ability weaving with off GCD abilities. Monk, Ninja, and Dragoon get crazy fast at end game. Then you add in positionals while avoiding mechanics to do max dps and it’s def fast paced.
Believe me plenty will be following suit and doing the same. Blizzard will have no choice but go into damage mode soon. But I don’t think they have a back up plan. So it’s looking pretty bleak if you ask me.

You honestly think they aren’t going to add at minimum 2 more dungeons within the next 2 years?
NO they won’t it will be WQ’s more WQ’s till the end of the Xpac.
Could it be that some people didn’t like things too simple and OTHER people don’t like too much complexity? Duh? It isn’t like the player base is monolithic and all play in the same way.
So I think m+ doesn’t need LFG. The GAME doesn’t need LFG. I can create groups perfectly fine to do what I want to do in the game. Especially now.
I echo your sentiment on the class/spec woes. I play warlock and don’t play affliction so you can probably imagine how it sucks. The class woes definitely affected how I view the game. I haven’t bothered with M+ because I know what s-show that is going to be. Can’t PvP either being a free HK. Basically being locked out of any meaningful content is going to affect how you view things.
I’ve said it so many times but the problem is the want to reinvent classes every expansion. It’s not feasible to rebuild them every expansion and hit a vital balance point.
I also think they need to get rid of PTR. Nothing is more toxic than PTR players belittling live players on content that is brand new to them. Nor some players having early access to figure out exploits which happens. Why bother with live players who don’t know the encounters when you’ve known them for months on the PTR? I’m rambling at this point.
The covenant content is abysmal and I agree with that. As is most of the world content. Mundane is a word for it.
All in all what I expected from the game. Pretty sure. Boring in a lot of ways indeed.
If you can’t enjoy playing the character and find it’s abilities not fun, then everything you do with that character is not going to be fun either.
My advice for you is to try out Beast Master Hunter, being able to use abilities on the move/no casting + being ranged dps, would help take the load off fight mechanics for you.
The ability rotation is also not complicated so you don’t have to juggle trying to min/max + mechanics as well.
It’s also a great class to run around and solo stuff as you have a pocket tank to keep aggro off of you while you pew pew.
I hate those things so much. Aside from not really enjoying the gameplay (and the inability to make a character I actually liked) those things being so creepy is one of my main issues.
I know it’s silly but… Why?

Blizzard has made the line between casual and hardcore preference quite clear in all things. The fact I can’t even get a weekly reward for capping conquest in unrated BGs anymore speaks for itself.
Ask Wildstar how this went for them.

Back in my day, people enjoyed challenging games. What is it with blizzard gamers always wanting ez mode gimme free stuff? Go play spyro the dragon or something.
