The skipper gem is a bit suspect, but the ring is more powerful than a regular ring now.

You can it just takes cleverness and persistence. I have my BIS gems.

There are a few factors. I was able to do it by starting my own raid:

  1. The longer the fight goes on, the more likely it bugs. So nuking it with a raid seems essential - I also brought the raid to Moon Guard (my realm) so between the raid and the pugs we nuked pretty quick
  2. You must leave the raid before you kill, it seems that being in a raid doesn’t grant you credit
  3. Tank the boss at the back left corner of the cavern, and instruct raid members to bait charge to the wall. People suspect that charging towards the door either removes the quest, or begins the cavern collapsing.
  4. Instruct Shamans not to use elementals and for all pet classes to turn taunt off, per 3
  5. I was instructing the raid per all of the above with raid warnings

I did this maybe 7-8 attempts, and was able to get the two kills / credits I needed for the BIS gems. Good luck. Honestly, they might hotfix it tomorrow and it’s questionable whether it was worth it, but my guild has raid today and tomorrow and I didn’t want to be gimped if I could get more damage.

Yeah totally. I had some free time today and get pretty stubbornly determined. I was also able to get some people in a few raids their gems, so community service.

Theres 3 Stat stick gems…and u want all 3.
1 gem gives all stats
1 gem gives a good chunk to your highest stat
1 gem gives mastery and increases the stats on your other 2 stat gems.

Need all 3 statstickgems.

It works just like the talent trees…mostly traps, but has 1 clear winner (when you know about it)

It will get adjusted for the 5th time if all 3 stats are BiS for most classes, that’s just boring and silly.

I would agree with this list and add one more, go WARMODE ON, as generally instead of 10-20 people you have 2-5 which is much easier to get people to listen. You also lessen the chance of someone showing up at like 20% and somehow baiting a charge out the entrance.

I mean, I get it, but real world, it’s underperforming for me. I’ll give it a more in depth look when I can.

That’s the thing. The sims are quantifiable evidence. It doesn’t matter how people “feel” that it should work or is working. All that matters, much like real life, are the provable results.

The ring will increase all DPS by 1-2% if not more.

Ran a quick AK 10, it’s not noticeable. I smimed it and tried real world, it’s mid.

Did the other 4 people in the group all have skippers?

Skippers is a group buff, it just sims as player dps because the assumption was that in group content everyone would be wearing it so your loss from using it gets cancelled out by the 4 other people buffing you.

This is the only real reason to run the ring, but man, it’s a 10, we’re not pushing keys. My DPS did not change noticeably and it was a +2. I know the tank had his ring on, as we discussed it, but that’s about it.

That’s not always correct. It depends on the class/spec.

Below is what is best for Assassination Rogues, Ret Pallys, Shadow Priest and several others.
