Now that all the gems arent time gated and are perfectly and 100% obtainable without bugs, is the ring worth to use now with the bis gems?
shrug find out in 6 weeks time when the content is out of early access.
It simmed highest for me with all 3 of the stat gems in. Which is good. So I guess, yeah?
still poorly developed trash that’s worse than 626s, maybe even more worthless than that.
The world quest gems are still time gated waiting for that ‘weekly’ world quest to pop up.
…it’s a rather special ability to not be able to think a solution all the way through to its ultimate conclusion because their leaders who should know their product are clueless.
Managed to get the last two gems from the bugged event guy by just going onto a tank alt and spam-taunting him and pulling him to the back of the room. So, it sims higher than 636 crafted now but putting it into practice is anyone’s bet.
Ended up being better than my 636 crafted ring once I got all 3 stat gems.
Should be decent once it is upgraded fully.
So far, I lose a massive chunk of my main secondary stat by choosing the new ring, only to gain a very small amount of all other stats, which are generally useless to me, and that’s by taking both stat stick gems. Stats wise it’s not worth it at all and is a net loss.
The only potential is that I have 1 more gem that can grant a passive healing effect, but so far that effect doesn’t proc nearly enough, and it’s usually at a bad time. In my logs it’s doing more than 50% over healing, so it’s essentially a useless item in M+, and a meager stat pad in raid. I don’t see why anyone would heal with this.
Simming that with your BiS gems and not only the ones that were available at launch?
It’s a 2% 45,000 DPS increase from my 639 ring. It is the obvious BiS ring for all DPS and likely all specs.
Doubtful, haven’t had a chance to get the gems myself, but based on the gems I had and when I simmed it, it was a 22k HPS loss, so I doubt having all the BiS gems will change that by a substantial amount.
It really is good if you use the correct gems.
You’re losing stats from your 639 to wear the ring, you’re not taking that into account.
You’re also nurfing your existing meta gem by removing 2 filled sockets from the equation.
The ring is no better than bis 626s.
Raidbots disagrees, but you do you, friendo, they’re your parses.
With all 3 stat gems in it, you get more total stats than any equippable ring, 6966 + whatever the mastery bonus provides. That is more than a 639 ring with 2 secondary gems in it. The only downside is that one stat must be mastery and another is split across all stats. If mastery is terrible for your spec then it’s no good, otherwise it certainly is.
With the BiS gems it’s like a 1% increase over my 619 rings. So, yay?
Also 2 of those BiS gems are from the event that is currently bugged so it’s impossible to actually get them.
Sure, when you are focusing on Mastery, but if you need crit/haste, the ring is worse than a crafted 619 one.
I am not making it up I simmed it and I tried it in 10+.
A standard 639 ring has about 6000 stats
This ring on me has about 4600 stats
2000 Mastery
650 every stat
- a proc of 1 of the following
300,000 burst damage
1000 of every secondary stat
3000 Mastery
2750 Mastery
200,000 to 2 enemies
150,000 to 5 enemies
trigger 4 of my allies Thundering Citrine at 150%
or 1 of the healing procs at 150%
It basically a 626 ring with a trinket proc built into it.
If I just go with straight stats it would be about 7100 stats
I have both gems.
For me the ring simmed 50k dps higher than a 626 I had. So either some of the gems are bugged/not programmed properly in raidbots, or people just don’t know how to use raidbots properly and they’re gimping themselves.
