How am I wrong? The numbers are from the API, and there has been a massive drop off in people raiding vs 9.0.
Huh?

Huh?
You’re wrong because it’s quite normal, a month into a new tier, for very few guilds to be far into the raid.
Yet the exact opposite was happening in 9.0.
Once again, how exactly was my statement incorrect?
Because a month into Castle Nathria there were fewer guilds that were 3/10 (there were around 2600), and fewer guilds that were 5/10 (839). Which is, again, about one-third.
The ratios are the same now as they were in Castle Nathria, although there are more guilds doing it now than back then.
Going to need sources on that because everything we have says something else entirely. The overall raiding population has dropped off considerably since 9.0 and that would easily be reflected across all difficulties.
Well 8 months for a crappy patch. Now with the lawsuit and the lack of players no need to rush it. Next year maybe.
It’s fun to speculate to pass the time but realistically, nobody knows.
Okay.
Here are the guilds ordered by progress a month in on Devourer:
And on Darkvein:
So where are your sources?
That’s the same raid.
Are you even sure you understand what you are arguing? lol
I said that the ratio of guilds that are 5/10 is only about a third of those that are 3/10.
You said it was different in Nathria.
I’m pointing out that the ratios in Nathria were the same.
I’m not sure what you’re talking about, at this point.
I never claimed anything of the sort.
Are you having trouble reading?
no work is being done on WOW. Many Dev positions are being replaced. The new people will take at least a month to get acclimated to their new positions. THEN, the company will need to isolate the problems causing their obvious collapse in sub numbers (50%). THEN AND ONLY THEN will work commence on the next patch. COVID is still a thing. Last patch took so long because of COVID.
you’re looking at roughly 8-10 months for 9.2.
Anyone telling you November and stuff are completely out of their minds; probably overdosed on copium.
What is “that”, then?
Since the ratios are the same as last tier, and the number of guilds raiding is actually higher.
This simply isn’t true.
Also not true.
Yes, there was a tweet, shortly after the lawsuit became public, where a senior producer for the WoW team said no work was being done on WoW ‘right now’ but we have confirmation that work has resumed on WoW both in the way of hotfixes that have gone live and the reveal that they are working on a 9.1.5 patch, with references to it found in the game files.
As for developers being replaced, there are a few individuals in the WoW team who have lost their jobs, and over 20 new positions have been created, but there’s no large scale replacement of developers. As far as I am aware personally, the WoW team has only lost a few developers. Most notably Johnathan LeCraft and Cory Stockton (who while still at the company is currently on leave)
You didn’t show anything from this tier lol. Like I said, your links were from the same raid. There were more kills within the same timeframe on the first boss in CN as SoD.
This is why businesses don’t let their employees make spontaneous tweets about business matters.
Except for Blizzard, which seems to be the Wild West when it comes to professionalism.
Clearing heroic is not the only goal in this game. Or shouldnt be.
plus the two new presidents or whatever they’re calling that position nowadays. But combine all that = its not true that there are several positions that will require time to become acclimated to the new roles??? You wanna split hairs over “REPLACED” positions and new positions, go ahead and write an essay about it.
You strike me as the type who argues just for the sake of arguing.
I noticed you also didn’t contribute to the overall thread with a suspected date of a 9.2 release after your copium-induced rant. Since you would like to paint a picture that everyone on the team is back to work at 100% efficiency, and everything is just peachy overall, please enlighten us when 9.2 will most likely come out.
Uhh, yes I did. Maybe pay attention. My first post (and the only post I made in this thread since I didn’t see a need to add more until you posted what you did) is about 19 posts up.
Unless Blizzard drops news about 9.2 at Gamescom next week (which I don’t expect they will, but I am thinking they’ll reveal 9.1.5 news there) I’m not expecting any news about 9.2 until Februrary 2022 during the virtual Blizzcon they’ll be hosting (assuming it doesn’t get cancelled).
Nah. Blizz needs to stop wasting time making content that only a select few care about
