So have we lost Blizzard?

Yes, we’ve lost Blizzard.

SL goes against so much of what made Wow popular - its appeal across a wide range of play styles.

Now yu better be a raider in an organized group or super casual … or into PvP and playign the ritgh spec … otherwise you are screwed … there’s no content or path to progression once you are done th convenant story.

What’s good about it?

This is good.

Blizzturd isn’t gonna try any new traditional MMO til we stop showering them with money. I for one have already unsubbed and don’t intend on getting the next xpack.

Archaeology will either be left as is, or eventually removed from the game. Not sure where I read it, but if I remember correctly it didn’t sound like they were happy with it in general and will likely let it die off.

In this thread: A person realizes a game no longer appeals to him personally and then assumes that his opinion is universal.

Not much to see here.

Nathria is cool, leveling the first time is fine (I’ve never been particular fond of leveling and it was the first time it held my attention), I think the loot pacing is good (fine with drop rate, wouldn’t be opposed to a token system), I love torghast and wish I could take all of my alts in there to level.

You could have anticipated this. I mean they killed everyone of substance in the original lore. They destroyed every main city save what, two?

They are fresh out of ideas, so naturally they had to kill everyone and now you get to be a ghost.

Sigh…

You can only milk old lore for so long dude.

I’m not a “dude,” but it’s past time for fresh ideas. Killing everyone and making them a ghost is not a “fresh” idea, it’s a cop out.

dude is gender neutral

Outside of the main characters getting lost in the shadowlands, each of the four new zones has tons of lore.

The new crop of devs seem to be terrible on all fronts - systems, story, balance, communication…

The only way I can see this being considered a bad expansion is if your a super casual terrified of group content.

From my perspective I’d give it a solid 7.5/8 out of 10. The dungeons are fun enough. The setting is good. Castle Nathria is in the upper half of all raids created (all BfA raids except for Dazar’alor were some of the worst of all time). The returned class abilities feel good as well. What I love most about SL is that I don’t have to ever do terrible content like WQ. They need to fix Torghast though. It’s boring and it takes way too long per layer.

BFA was a 3/10

Legion 8/10 (honestly the class campaigns and artifact weapons saved an otherwise bland expansion with an absurdly terrible story (Started fine but got real bad real quick with Argus and Broken shore).)

The PvE is really good, I’ll concede that point. Havent done Castle Nathria yet, but the dungeon encounters are great.

They may as well just remove lfg/lfr content… it’s useless as far as any sort of progression goes.

We lost Blizzard somewhere around Cata to now.

Old Blizzard cared about there player base. I even met some really nice GM’s that helped me in the old times. And listened to feedback from players.

New Blizzard is like I really don’t care about you. They don’t fix bugs they don’t add content that players enjoy. They nerf and they take away. They ignore player feedback and Battlegrounds is a mess.

I’m still waiting for that Winter Grasp fix.

“Dude” is most assuredly not “gender neutral,” and refers to a man in extreme fastidious dress; a greenhorn; or a “fellow.”

You can call me Velara, or just Vel.

It appears we disagree about SL, so let’s leave it at that.

I was expecting more from crafting TBH.

Not that they just make them chores or perceived chores but the fact that the systems themselves are now the main content .Where as in the past runnig the dungeons, doing the raids or fighting in the bgs was the main content.

Shadowlands used to be great till the no gear patch. And they don’t want to reverse it so…
