Well I guess since you dont see any, then they must not exist!! /s
All these people trying to gaslight me into believing the bots are not there and its just my imagination is hilarious.
Come on guys, I have been playing wow since the beginning. I know how a bot behaves. You really gotta be sticking your head in the sand to not see it. Dont trust me? Fine. Look at tons of video evidence streamers have submitted recently. Theres tons and tons of video evidence for you to look at. Thanks!
And there is a ton of evidence that they regularly ban them.
Just because you donât personally see them getting banned doesnt mean that they donât.
Itâs not an easy fix to permanently get rid of them all

Iâd rather they fix the Phasing issue first.
Hrmmm, I wonder if bots are causing all the phase issues by shard hopping en masseâŚyeah, ban those suckers.

Blizz arenât going to do much as long as theyâre paying a sub fee. Lets be real.
They also have to be 100% sure that someone is a bot before taking action. And that can be a slippery slope. Especially in this day and age where people refuse to talk to others.

But they arenât really
They just banned 200k or something last ban wave in December.
Oh, the Irony.
It can feel frustrating seeing these characters you are positive are bots runnung around in world, but i think WoW has kept it pretty decently handled.
not perfect but its worse elsewhere.
I also play FFXIV and the glitchy spawn camping bots that flicker in, kill everything then disappear underground or whatever to vanish until the respawn are quite apparent in many out of the way areas. Not to mention the never ending gold Sellers shouting in every city.

I take those âWe banned X peopleâ articles with a ginormous grain of salt. I think a lot of it is PR so that people will leave them alone like SE does.

I am not disputing that they ban them, but I do dispute them doing it âregularlyâ.
I am not arguing that. But to me I dont see much effort. When they are actually doing stuff to combat bots, you see them come to the forumsâŚcrying about bans. Have you seen that recently? Past 6 months? Me eitherâŚ

Sure, they ban an account, but nothing more. Thereâs nothing stopping them from making another free account and resubbing.
All that was was a show of good faith.

Ok.
I take your opinion on this matter with a similar grain of salt.
A lot of people complaining donât seem to understand the situation or know that just getting rid of bots is a ton harder than they pretend it is

How do you stop someone from making another account?
You dont. So you ban them again. 200iq?
IP bans and Bnet bans. Not just individual account bans.
Ok. How do you know to ban them again?
Itâs my perception âtheyâ donât fight them, but âtheyâ do give us lip service about them.

Ok. So they make a new bnet and use something to mask IP. Not difficult.
Wait for them to bot. Then ban them. This isnt rocket surgeryâŚ

Thatâs fine. Iâm not trying to give you a hard time. I never said any of it was easy, etc. I just do not believe when they make claims of banning people, or to the extent they say. Iâve seen so much proof of dishonesty that itâs impossible not to be skeptical.

Banning people one at a time is the worst way to fight bots.
Itâs impossible to permanently get rid of them all.
I know you know this, itâs a never ending game of cat and mouse.
Bot maker makes bot program, games maker detects bot program, bot maker finds way around detection. Rinse and repeat.
Itâs a never ending process. Is someone can find a permanent fix, congratulations youâre set for life.
