-impressed-
I got one the last day of my first year farming it.
I got midnight after 3 weeks of putting 50 alts a week through mythic return to karazhan. My 110’s got carried by 120’s.
If you only have 1 account https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/altoholic-retail will work fine. Once you go past 1 account though you’ll need something external to track everything. Altoholic has an account sync feature but it takes a while to transfer the data and it can’t continuously sync so you have to keep copying data back and forth
Yeah I always had a problem with getting the second account to sync. I no longer have two accounts though,so it works good enough for me.
Were they on the same realm? Won’t work otherwise

Oh please tell me all about my addiction. Please do lecture me about how I have a serious addiction and need professional help. I would love you to do that. Please tell this disabled infantry war vet of 6 years all about how I need help for seeking refuge from my ptsd inside of a video game with my now infinite free time.
Threads like this, where players of this game attack other players for sharing in the same hobby, need to stop. You don’t know these peoples lives and odds are very high you aren’t a professional psychiatrist. So spare everyone your world view and ask yourself why you need to be the judge of how they live their lives.
Addictions require a withdrawal effect.
If its anything, its a habit.
erm, I agree with the op
I admire your nerdiness, not kidding.
So probably like 1 person said something to you and now you’re all in a tizz? Well you’ve come to the right place to complain.
There is a fine line between collecting and hoarding.
Just have fun and set limits. I can’t have everything and I can’t have a Uhaul at my funeral. Can’t take the stuff with me.
There’s no reason to limit yourself if you’re doing what you love
Maybe just maybe they’re bored and had enough to the no content so they start new toons like me. Yes I’m addicted and Blizzard play on peoples addiction to wow infact they bank on. Well I’m not buying SL. I heard the original developers of wow are making a new game and believe me I can’t wait I know where I will be going.
The irony…
I’m surprise you have 50 characters if that’s the case lol. Must be a nightmare to handle.
(quietly ponders if my cookbook collection (300+ and growing) is a secret addiction I should seek help for… then remembers the little stuffed Cthulhu on the couch said it was okay and I should also bring him some jellybeans)
Honestly, people spend too much time worrying about what other people do. According to one of those silly internet tests a relative sent me - I am an alcoholic. Why? Because the one of the main points of that specific test was “do you drink alone” and if you do, you are an alcoholic. Period.
I live alone. Which means the half a glass of wine once or twice a year is usually by myself so I am a secret alcoholic in the eyes of that test. So much silliness.
I threw the line away to make room for more collecting.
Maybe it is though.
Like, why do we always need something new?
Maybe we should be more satisfied with what we already have.
I won’t judge anyone for what they do in-game. But you kinda answer your own question OP. Even if someone is a ‘functional altoholic’. The very act of needing obsessively this, or that, or more of something teeters on a mental something.
How anyone can manage more than is couple characters is beyond me but to each their own. I have I think 20 characters but only play with two of them the rest have been collecting dust.
