I have 49 slots taken.
There’s about 25 of them that didn’t get played more than a day or two a year (my gnome runner for example), but all have their purpose some are “get out of the grind” RP characters, couple are built as a herald (that never got done), and there’s some that don’t get played, but won’t get deleted due to the circumstances of their retirement (Closing of a guild due to death of a member).
I wouldn’t be against it being a paid service in the shop. Want another X slots it’s $Y. I’d probably pick up 10 more slots for allied races and rolling support characters on my previously toon capped servers.
Couple thousand runs on the HH confirmed it for me.

I have 14 120s and 2 characters 110 high enough to get the HH still no luck! Wish me luck Hallows end is in a well xD

I got HH! only been playing since final argus patch too. So many 110 toons I will need to level to …50? to be able to make them useful to love rocket though. My only event mount I still need.
Love rocket kills me every year 
Only had 43 alts last year but 43 dungeons a day was awful lol (still didn’t get it).

Having two accounts is better than having more characters slots, especially with the new leveling system. I’m telling ya… nothing is better than having two Mages on each account to port yourself around.

I am not that good at keeping track of things. I keep forgetting which character is on which account. Having just 1 account and double the sub cost could solve this.

Hobby’s are just trading an addiction for another
I taught myself lua and wrote an addon for myself that collects data for my characters. Then I got a script from another addon and tinkered it to work with my data to covert it into XML format. Then I import it into excel to have a nice neat spreadsheet 
THEN I learned I wasted my time and I could just extract the data directly from Blizz. So I glued together a python script to pull the data from Blizz’s servers and import that into my spreadsheet
But my computer isn’t strong enough to deal with importing that much data so it’s on hold till I build my new pc
