The game itself is riddled with bugs, and problems… people are unsubscribing in droves, yet they have NO problems selling things on the digital store to dress up your character. Seems more apparent where Blizzard’s priorities are.
Yay, unregulated Captialism!
The wealth gap is so great that the rich can buy nations, bend stocks to their will, and have begun to adventure vacation into outer space. Welcomer to Altered Carbon.
We should start a gofundme for BlizZard employees IMO.
Unfortunately the big corps will never change because they do not have to. It would take a very organized group to get any big corps attention at this point.
Very real and a very sad state of affairs.
I think this pretty much is the model for most corporations. We are here to play a game though. If we are playing one built in a “sweatshop”, well… lol
BLIZ would do a lot better if it wasnt in Cauliflower. The taxes and houses in Cauliflower are so high. I would not want to live in Cauliflower making a low wage at BLIZ. It would be a good wage in another location but not in Cauliflower.
My AutoCorrect changes it to Cauliflower so I am sticking with it.
Is that some kind of measure of how successful your life was?
Because I’ve never got invited to anyone’s party and I know I’m a complete failure and nobody cares nor loves me not even my family since my parents drove me to the middle of no where and left me to die in the middle of the woods when I was a teen and I don’t have any friends until today so I guess you’re right about that
that’s part part of my point. Invest more money to make game more enjoyable to play rather then facing bug’s live which were reported in PTR.
It’s the era of knowledge: if you know how to apply your skills you’ll earn more, exponentially.
Oh look, another Nelfas thread.
Glad to see it’s been flagged and will be thrown in the trash where it belongs.
That’s not how it works, it really does not work that way… The average person working at blizzard is 68k lets double that to 136k that would cost the company around 204k (add about 10 more k if they reside in California) … Per person that made 136k…
But rage on more old news
Also his salary is only 1.2 million which for what the company makes is not a lot to be honest…
The vast majority of his compensation comes from stocks… And for some weird reason blizzard Activision tanks there goes his money
I must admit I never understood that line of thinking “low taxes for low income and high taxes for high income”
I fully understand low taxes for low incomes and give them basic services ( healthcare, food banks, social lodging, etc…)
But when people say “rich people should pay an incredibly high amount of taxes” is where I find myself baffled.
Rich people are rich because they are more ( intelligent, dedicated, hard working, skilled at what they do, etc… ) pick one, not saying they are all that, but if they did not have some of those qualities they would not be rich.
It’s like you want to punish them for being great at what they do.
PS: I know that some inherited their fortune and have no merit, but those are exceptions
Oh so you don’t know what a ceo does and just assumes he does nothing…
And you also just assume everyone else is an underpayed passionate worker…
Oh so companies are now charity organizations and should just waste as much money as possible on salaries…
Probably because those people were not producing as much as they were getting payed, just like the offices were not producing as much as they were costing.
Point me to a game as big as this that doesn’t have bugs…
How deep you need to be on a class warfare ideology to believe that workers of a gaming company in a first world country are treated like animals.
Even though we often hear the stories of the devs and other workers on the actual game studios not being able to afford to pay for their own housing?
Granted this has a lot to do with property in the area being expensive AF (Even though said land is not any more valuable as any other land) but it should be the responsibility of the company to ensure their employees don’t have to live in their cars to work at said company (Within reason. Bad decisions on the employee’s part does not count for instance. Also they would need to make sure to put those that would try to exploit getting more money out of the companies because would have to pay it in their place.)
The dude is in charge of 9000 people and a lot of his compensation is probably tied up in company issued stock.
This about 90% is in stock options his base salary is is honestly not much he only makes around 1.5 million…( for what the company actually makes)
Funny thing is i think in china or was it a japan a game companys ceo took a hit in hes bonus for hes workers i forget who it was who did that?
So those designing the game dislike the customers, the employers dislike the employees and because customers dislike the product, everything is the fault of whom?
Meh they been saying that since the 70’s I’m guessing eventually they will be right though…
