So can we finally admit that not having RDF killed Wrath Classic?

Spamming your gearscore in the LFG channel forges such immense friendships!!

I mean, seriously, TBCC and Wrath Classic have proven without a shadow of a doubt there is no social aspect in the group forming process.

However, if people truly love that process, they can keep doing it even with RDF in the game. Therefore, to be against RDF means they don’t actually care about the social aspect. They just want to control and gatekeep how others play the game.

This shows how anti social you are if you think that is the limit of social interactions.

Dungeon are single serving social experiences. I’m honest about that and don’t try to pretend that everyone I pug a dungeon with is suddenly my BFF who I’ll share intimate secrets with.

Really? You have never run a dungeon to help aomeone else, only to benifit yourself? Shows how social you really are.

Also, the rest of your post is another strawman.

You seem confused probably because you were too lazy to read the entire post.

Guess you even need to be carried on the forums.

Strawmans have to be addressed now?

What strawman you’ve freely admitted you let your guild carry you because you’re lazy.

I doubt he’s saying that.

Social aspects are fine.

Making social aspects out of the whole game tho not so much.

It’s funny because questing is a single player game, I guess that’s ok tho as long as most players are forced into that play style because dungeons don’t exist in lower levels.

What social connections are those players making doing 1-70 solo questing?

Another strawman. Just because i dont aim for 100 parses doesnt mean i am being carried, especially in content so easy you could have an entire raid of gray dps parses and still clear it just fine. But you keep using your strawma. Arguments. Its all you have.

I mean any interaction with another player is a social interaction.

Which means that dungeons have social interaction, and that remains true in RDF. You are still playing with and interacting 4 other players.

What dungeons don’t, and this remains true without RDF, is create long term relationships as by their nature they’re single serving experiences.

Doesnt have to be. You can group for that as well. In fact this is usually beneficial to do outside of the “collect 10 bear livers” quests.

You can’t force players to be social. You just can’t. So making the game less accessible, and more frustrating and tedious in that effort is just bad design.

It isn’t that it has to be or doesn’t have to be the fact is it is…

And that’s devolved to the point where if someone does group for an open world quest it’s just a ninja invite and then drop group without saying anything.

Assuming there’s even anyone in the area, which usually there aren’t anyways making it a moot point.

This dude been playing a different version of WOW than all of us.

He gets invited to kill hogger and meets his best friend.

I’m fighting hogger and I get an invite and someone kills with me and says thanks and drops group.

Idk…

Someone is making stuff up about how the community plays the game for sure.

You just figuring that out now?

You should be forced to network and socialize to succeed in this game.

On every level.

I wish you needed 15 people to do basic quests.

That is why an automated system is bad. I am simply more capable of building a social network than most of you.

It should be a strict requirement.

I can’t wait for a new EverQuest game
