So are you guys fixing the NVidia issue sometime or what?

Yep, that’s basically the same here, and seems to be the same for many others.
But it’s definitely our fault. Delete cache and it’s totes fine, right guys? Or update/disable addons, right guys?

It’s really been making me just not want to play almost at all.
Instances are usually fine, that’s nice, but World Quests… just flying through old zones to try to farm MOP battle pets… basically anything that doesn’t involve just sitting inside an instance… it’s just this miserable stuttering mess.

But I mean, it took these folks like 10 years to make Enable Pet Sounds actually work (ie turning OFF most pet sounds when unchecked) instead of being a menu option with literally no effect. So I’m a bit concerned that this one is going to be here for so many weeks or months that I’m really just going to stop playing due to the miserable performance experience.

Did you guys watch the video I posted at the top? Is your problem just like mine?
Because I’ve been trying to get help with this for weeks and I still haven’t found a solution.

Weirdest thing I’ve had no issues for a week and suddenly boom it’s happening again.

Ive also been having issues with frame freezing identical to the video. since 8.1 but mostly since 8.1.5 and getting worse in the last week. I’m running an Nvidea GTX 960, Ive updated all windows updates, updated drivers, reset my UI as per blue posts, turned my graphics to all three DX settings as well turned my graphics from the defult 7 down to 1 with no change in operation. At this point i’m afraid to raid or do M+ in my current state as Ill be more of a liability to my team mates. any updates to these problems would be appreciated!

I basically “try” to raid - emphasis on try - then log off because I can barely do anything. Absolutely working as intended… //sarcasm//

I’m having the same problem. I thought it was because my hardware is on the older side, but seeing your video and this thread is what made me realize this isn’t just an issue on my end. I’ve tried a few things(that haven’t definitively helped), but haven’t bothered asking for help after seeing threads like this.

Yep. Same thing as your video.

Less frequent in instances (have not tried to raid with it yet), but still happens.

It makes the game unplayable.

Yeah, I’ll get right on buying some random third party stuff to fix… well just WoW since none of my other games have this issue. Yep, getting my card right now!
Why didn’t I think of giving some third party $20 to fix some issue Blizzard caused! Brilliant!
10/10 shilling by the way. Your 7 total posts and no grammar whatsoever really sold me on the legitimacy as well.

What are you specs on your rig could not find them? I have A RTX 2080TI have zero issues. Many of the issues we have been able to fix. So if you want someone to take a look at your system start with a dxdiag and we can go from there.

DxDiag
1.Press Windows Key + R.
2.Type DxDiag and press Enter.
3.In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4.Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
5.Open the txt file above select all, copy and paste to this thread.
You can include the DXDIAG in a reply to the forum post. Place it between rows of ticks (`) for formatting:

If it will not allow you to post the whole thing post it on pastebin.com just post the last section of the link see the highlight section below .

I made a new thread for this to save clutter

1080TI on I7 8700K and ASUS Motherboard, mild overclock on CPU and not a day of issues with this GPU in WOW.

Much of this may be unneeded as changing the Direct X version may have addressed the issue. I remain skeptical, but it seems I might be in the “4mb card should be fine but randomly isn’t for reasons” category.

Heya Chromey,

I was checking your crash logs, and they’re all related to the same issue. It looks like our Devs actually have this on their tracking list internally. They have narrowed down the cause of the issue to a drivers bug.

Since we rely on GPU vendors to provide drivers, this is not something we can directly fix. However rest assured any time something like this arises our devs do actually work with other companies like Nvidia to ensure they are aware of and working to resolve the issue.

Driver Updates will typically include bug fixes in them. If you haven’t yet, please be sure to update the GPU drivers for the best gaming experience.

Well I think swapping Direct X versions at least stopped the bulk of issues, but I’m glad to hear this issue is on the radar.
Would’ve been nice to get a little bit of a heads up earlier considering the number of people affected, a little bit of communication can go a long way to easing the
It’s been a few weeks with the same issue and nary a peep about it.
And the feelings of unimportance and frustration that this can cause, because it feels like no one is aware and nothing is being looked into or done. I certainly didn’t expect my thread to get so many “Me too” replies, which really shows the scope here.
