So are you guys fixing the NVidia issue sometime or what?

Siltan

Your crash issue is related to the known video memory issue with nvidia cards and DirectX 12. Your stuttering issue appears to be related to a connection problem, judging from your WinMTR in your screenshot, but I will cover that in your own post. They are entirely separated issues.

My machine and several (tons) of others are experiencing EXACTLY what this video describes. We aren’t all suddenly having hardware issues we’ve never had before, our connections aren’t suddenly worse than they were before. This is just getting silly.

Edit: I fully appreciate that you’re trying to help, I don’t mean to come off like a jerk. Just wish blizzard wasn’t telling everyone the same things that we’re all attempting. It’s time to realize that it isn’t working.

I might be experiencing it less now, since various hotfixes and indeed some nvidia driver updates, but I haven’t been playing enough to be sure.
One of my guildies also thinks the same.

And yeah, it’s a big ridiculous getting some dumb generic reply when swaths of people are reporting issues. Of course, suddenly it’s MY hardware, MY software, and not YOUR broken patch.
The real kicker was the “We do not know of any issues”. Of course, the massive influx of threads since the patch broke things for so many folks would definitely indicate that you’re unaware of these issues. Long as it’s over and done with, I don’t really care if we sweep it under the rug and pretend we didn’t mess it all up, but let’s try to put a bit more QA into things before they drop.

The response is absurd. I am having exactly the same issues, as are many folks in the community and they just all happened to start after 8.1.5. I know you changed how the game does something with the internet and I suspect this is the root cause.

I have the NVidia graphics card. I’ve just started having serious framerate issues this week. Sometimes the game crashes. Sometimes it blue screen of death’s the computer. This only happens when playing WoW. Most recent crash code wow51900319.

That is a disconnect not a game crash. You will want to start a new thread to trouble shoot the connection issue

Having the same issues. Hopefully theres a fix soon, dropping my graphics to the bare minimum and going to 80% resolution to get a pathetic 20 fps on raid nights is getting old very quick.

After attempting about everything I could think of, I ended up disabling the windows full screen optimization via the registry (it didn’t work via the control panel) and it appears to have fixed the problem (for now)

Hahaha this thread sums it up, weeks of threads.

I’ve been wondering why my game just seems to lock up for a few seconds every now and then and the video above is pretty much the issue I’ve been experiencing recently just not as frequent as what that shows. Tried resetting UI and all the works that are suggested usually. I use a gtx 1070 and have a g-sync monitor.
Also went through memtest and the windows diagnostic for memory thinking my RAM was crapping out. No errors reported after several passes over a couple hours. GPU Temps seem to be around 80-82 C when gaming.

That would be a lie Since If you actually read these forum this is not the only post.
I personally have spent almost 3 hours on the phone with a Blizz Tech trying to find the issue (or in Blizz speak blame my computer for the issue) and they could not find the issue. My computer is well over the minimum requirements for hardware . If you need proof look up Issue ID: #66935274 it has supposedly been set up for tracking. This issue is very similar to what happened to a lot of Nvidia players in the pre patch to BFA when you guys switched to Direct X 12 so that systems could utilize their multiple cores. I don’t know why you guys don’t work with the gpu companies when adding or changing stuff … and if you say you do its not working very well

wow thanks mate that really helped!

I am having the same issues in the video and the other posts. 1080TI in SLI - I figured out if I have Google Chrome running and pandora on that that was the issue. If I turn of Chrome the game runs fine no snags or issues. as soon as I start it up, and pandora the freezes happen.

Noticed that my vram is spiking (sometimes up to 100%) on my 2080ti when the freezing happens. It never goes back down until I close wow and then it drops to 4%.

Well, the major Especially Boralus But Elsewhere Sometimes big freezes into de-minimizing window seems to have stopped. I haven’t crashed in a while but I’ve also not gone anywhere much with Nazmir assets (inc Underrot and Uldir).
But in the open world in new and old zones alike, I frequently get little stutters and hiccups.
BUT I ALMOST NEVER HAVE THIS ISSUE INSIDE INSTANCES. For example, this never comes around to bite me in Mythic Dazar.
I also have zero such issues playing Final Fantasy XIV, even in highly populated areas there as well, so it’s not hardware.

And again, as far as frequency and severity, this was massively increased by 8.1.5 and this just goes into the list of: “More things since certain company changes where quality testing and polish has gone out the window in order to cut corners”.

I defend BFA a lot, since I think formulaic content is fine, I do play FF14 after all. But there’s 2 things about BFA I don’t defend:

  • Cutting corners to release broken unpolished trainwrecks
  • Flight Point & Travel Simulator 2018 as the reason we don’t have flying at expansion launch, yet we have content in the form of WQs that take forever to reach due to travel inconvenience

I think things are only going to get worse if the priority is to keep cutting corners, since the fun is already being sucked more and more out of the game by the focus on making content needlessly inconvenient and obtuse.

Here is what fixed my issue go to guru3d . com and on the right hand side of the page down load the hotfix for nvidia 425.11 and install it

BTW it only happend to me when I had multiple monitors hooked up one in hdmi one in display port

This seems to happen everytime a new patch/hotfix comes out. I can run Final Fantasy XIV perfectly yet can’t even use a flight path on wow without it freezing up and chucking a tanty.

Seriously it’s making me wonder why I even bother to continue to play this game =/

I have nothing that crazy and my GPU % never goes far off 20-35% when running circles in Boralus to put some of the highest stress I can in the game.

Yeah, it’s getting real old real fast.
It’s not addons, I run very few and those few are updated. (DBM, Deja Character Stats, even disabled Skada and Angry World Quests and had Exorsus disabled previously.)

If this isn’t resolved in the relatively near future, I might even drop the game before expansion end and my sub runs out, because this level of poor performance is unacceptable.
And no, even IF it were fixable with the green text guy’s workaround, even IF that was the case (probably not), I shouldn’t have to.
Don’t break stuff to begin with and release unpolished broken trash and wait for the community to address your problems. You’re not Bethesda.

Though when garbage like this goes on unfixed for a few weeks, one might think you are Bethesda.

EDIT: (after like 10 tries getting the button to work)
Couldn’t even Edit my post to fix the broken quote box.
By the way, that was the same quoting I did for the 1st person and have for years.
But the quote function is doing some broken thing.
And the Edit button isn’t working.
WHY CAN I NOT GO 30 SECONDS WITHOUT SOMETHING WOW-RELATED BREAKING ON ME?

I am hearing you. Also loving the same old replies of delete the WTF and cache and check addons, drivers etc. It’s not on our end at all =/

Having similar issues.

Nvidia card, was playing wow on 8/10 Settings, never any issues. Then just within the last few weeks, even on 1/10 (lowest settings), I am getting massive stuttering/lag.

Only in WoW. I tried deleting all addons. Deleting wtf files. Caches. Etc.

It is still happening. Other games are running just fine.
