Well, the major Especially Boralus But Elsewhere Sometimes big freezes into de-minimizing window seems to have stopped. I haven’t crashed in a while but I’ve also not gone anywhere much with Nazmir assets (inc Underrot and Uldir).
But in the open world in new and old zones alike, I frequently get little stutters and hiccups.
BUT I ALMOST NEVER HAVE THIS ISSUE INSIDE INSTANCES. For example, this never comes around to bite me in Mythic Dazar.
I also have zero such issues playing Final Fantasy XIV, even in highly populated areas there as well, so it’s not hardware.
And again, as far as frequency and severity, this was massively increased by 8.1.5 and this just goes into the list of: “More things since certain company changes where quality testing and polish has gone out the window in order to cut corners”.
I defend BFA a lot, since I think formulaic content is fine, I do play FF14 after all. But there’s 2 things about BFA I don’t defend:
- Cutting corners to release broken unpolished trainwrecks
- Flight Point & Travel Simulator 2018 as the reason we don’t have flying at expansion launch, yet we have content in the form of WQs that take forever to reach due to travel inconvenience
I think things are only going to get worse if the priority is to keep cutting corners, since the fun is already being sucked more and more out of the game by the focus on making content needlessly inconvenient and obtuse.
