So after 8.3 Are we done with the Old God nonsense?

I wouldn’t put it past blizz to find an excuse to bring em back. There’s one we haven’t fought directly so they could find a way to make Y’shaarj a boss. And god I hope they do, old god lore is one of the best parts of this game.

Nope, its hinted N’Zoth is still alive after. Also the “Old god Nonsense” is actually bottom of the food chain, they are low tier void god soldiers. We have a lot of higher up void gods we will have to deal with one day. The void gods can revive them instantly.

They aren’t intimidating because you were forced to watch fanfiction writers show off their waifu playing 1332143242342343 D chess throughout the expansion.

It’s like releasing Wrath of the Lich King and having Sylvanas pull unreasonable stuff and then telling about a patch which is called: “Fall of the Lich King”.

The issue with the void themes in BFA is that they hyped so much about it. Introducing themes like Void Elves, Ethereal tampering and trouble, Lightforged Draenei, the zeal of the faithful…

And whopdy effing doo; we’re going to the death realms in the Shadowlands chasing Sylvanas down.

Victory for Sylvanas!

If by Victory, you mean dying a brutal horrible death that will leave her screaming in the abyss until the end of time, as her name is stricken from the history records and she’s left forgotten forever.

Sure.

Behave.

The obvious result is Sylvanas being named the destroyer of Evil, Ruler of cosmos as she sits on the throne that is rightfully hers (Because of fanfiction) while a group of titans, Elune, Shadowlands guys and even random demons from the burning legions bow wishing she would grant them one second of attention.

This, I can get behind.

Dark Lady watch over you.

I usually modify it to:

“Dumb lady watch over you”.

If that’s okay with you?

Except Magni states in the epilogue that the Old Gods are completely gone. N’Zoth’s death line is completely nonsensical.

That really bums me out. There are a lot of good books and short stories revolving cosmic horror. I’d highly recommend them.

Many alliance and horde heroes have said stuff only for it to be false. There was a line by another servant of N’Zoth that shows that his power is still existing.

I have a friend that’s heavily into the Lovecraftian themes, so I understand the theme… I just don’t find it as compelling as some others do?

It just loses me when it tries to be crazy over the top.

You mean the gift he gives to those who bring him the Dagger?

The Sha didn’t disappear when Y’Shaarj died(they even appeared in Legion despite the Heart of Y’Shaarj no longer spawning them) so N’Zoth is no different.

N’Zoth’s death was done by the Forge of Origination which decomposes things to their base composition. N’Zoth’s base composition is Water, Void, Twilight, Nightmare and Delirium.

The Void energies from inside his body aren’t going anywhere.

Don’t know. Does the H.P. Lovecraft freak still work for Blizzard?

I seriously hate the aesthetic. Every armor set aside from season one PvP armor has been trash.

Let’s move on from this and back to tier and class sets. The laziness from the art team and those making decisions this expansion had been on another level.

No, it was in a bellular video tho a while back in December I think.

“I heard Da rumors. Dey say He Is Dead. Slain In Ny’alotha. it can’t be. We Still Carry His Gift”.

One more thing: Nathanos “died” years ago in earlier WoW history but he actually feign death and then returned, so yeah anything is possible.

Said gift is the eye he places on Players’ heads. That does not mean he is alive. The Sha survived both of Y’Shaarj’s deaths(second one being when Garrosh revived his Heart) so the eye that N’Zoth planted on the Players’ heads could easily survive his death.

At the hour of her third death…she will usher in our rebirth.

No, we’re not done with the Old Gods.

They’re interweaved with almost everything we’ve ever done in WoW.
