At least until the Void Lord thing starts showing up?
Because I gotta be honest, it’s probably one of the least interesting factors of WoW. Rivaling that of the dragged out “Faction War”.
I get some people like the aesthetic, and neat, good for you, but it’s not really compelling, and does absolutely nothing for me, but make me roll my eyes at the over the top ridiculousness.
The old gods aren’t even intimidating, it’s just mutated hunks of flesh that somehow got a cult following.
But in 8.3, we’re supposedly getting rid of them all? HOpefully? It’d be nice to not have to look at a stupid void/shadow tentacle mass for a bit.

I have a gut feeling there saveing a full on void lords expansion for next expansion after sl expansion.

I liked that none of these ultimate world ending threats had their own expac. Each one was offed in a patch. But thank the heavens that we spent an entire expac doing yet another faction conflict…

They didn’t deserve their own expansion anyways.
Old gods have always been things that just pop up and we have to deal with. Not a single one has deserved it’s own expansion.
Them dying in a patch is fitting, just like all the other old gods.

I mean not even the titans could deal with them, but sure they’re not worth an expac.
Edit: Also we’re not done with old gods, we still have Elune to deal with

Nah, based on the 8.3 story spoilers? They are dead. For real this time.
Blasted with the re-origination ray, and completely wiped out while the champion uses the heart of azeroth to focus the ray.
Nothing is actually immortal.
That’s another thing that is stupid about the old gods, this whole stupid nonsense of “You cna’t ever actually get rid of them.”
Bologna.
Everything dies. Everything has a beginning and an end. Nothing last forever, especially no stupid space tumors.

Hopefully. 8.3 hasn’t even started and I’m already bored of the whole edgy void god stuff.

Idk, she’s too marketable to kill off. She’s getting redeemed fo sho.
By getting redeemed, you mean impaled, quartered, shredded to peices, dissolved in her own stupid blight, then set on fire with holy fire right?
Because maybe that might be acceptable.

Then her spirit will possess Nathanos and we will have the ultimate love story, just Nathanos constantly making out with himself.

Okay, that got a laugh out of me. 10/10
I found the old gods more interesting when we knew less about them. They should have retained some of that mystery as something that you can’t really understand.

Old gods were never interesting though.
Just because you say somethings mysterious and unknown, doesn’t make it mysterious and unknown, it also doesn’t make it interesting.
if anything the minions of the old gods are far more compelling than the old god sthemselves.

That’s what I mean. The old gods themselves should have remained in the shadows, with only hints of what they really were from the insane rantings of their minions.

I’d like to move away from this constant escalation of cosmic big bads and focus on expanding stories of some of our more local threats. Like what have Magatha and KT been up to?

Hiding from me, because she knows she’s back on my radar after what happened in legion.
