Regular flying wasn’t locked. Nice try though
Look up dragonflight pathfinder. Actually I’ll do it for you.
And SL.
And Bfa.
And Legion.
And Wod.
And Mop.
And Wrath.
In BC and MoP, there was no flying at all below max level.
Naaaah uh. Its only been locked in TWW lol.
Tbh mop leveling without flying was an actual pain. And that was prior to all the exp nerfs too so it actually took forever. Not a few hours like now.
On BC, you couldn’t fly in outland below level 70 until patch 3.2, in the middle of Wrath.
Ah perfect, my mistake. This has been a 2 expansion long issue. Thanks for drawing attention to the longevity of this issue
Except that isn’t discrimination. Everyone has access to the same options and you don’t need to use skyriding to unlock steady flight. This isn’t Dragonflight where the map was really designed in such a way that there were quests that straight-up needed you to use Skyriding to get things done.
No it hasn’t. There would’ve been a very reasonable issue in Dragonflight. Issue’s solved. Now it’s just people whining that they have to unlock something that’s always needed to be unlocked and doing it in extremely disingenuous ways.
More like since tbc lol.
The only thing that changed in df was the addition of dragonriding.
Tbc flight has been locked since tbc in some form.
So no. You are wrong. Again.
This is spam, even though it’s linking. You only needed to link the current one. Plus, the topic is not about about Pathfinder, though it deviated into it.
You, yourself should go back and check the name of the topic at the start, not the topic you think it is. If I am wrong, you can say I am wrong, well I am sure you will say I am right, you will say wrong anyway.
Just because your character has truly been shown through your replies and attitudes. Then also truly know what the topic is and to stick to the topic and context, which you ironically had been calling out others, ironically the same, so the mirror is not put back on yourself. This post shows it, you think you are being helpful, but you are seriously trolling even like I have said a few times, you cannot see it. I hope and do see this and more clearly and it drops out from there. As even I had it or several of them before till, they themself had dropped and I can see clearer. Then and even still now.
I do not think it is an accident but the choice to continue the lock of TBC normal flying when they know it impacts a segment of their playerbase is not a good look IMVHO.
Actually it did because it made it crystal clear to me that people ae discussing in good faith and you choose not to read what people type. That is your choice but I do not see the value in that.
No, that’s just you completely missing the point Quiver’s making, which is that slow flying has always had an unlock requirement, which almost always requires max level of that expansion to fly in said expansion.
That aspect of it did not change with the introduction of skyriding, even if some revisionist historians here would try to tell you otherwise.
Which makes a lot of the complaints come off as either “well I won’t use the toy, so they shouldn’t be able to either”, or concern trolling/abled people using disabled people as pawns to push their agenda (Mafic).
They have made reasonable accommodations by making the expansion very ground friendly, and shortening the timeline of requirements to essentially match the Wrath system (questline you have to do anyways and explore, vs level requirement and gold for every character), which is why I think TWW is just a strict upgrade from Wrath on the slow flying front.
Yes we don’t use Skyriding, too bad Steady Flight is locked behind an achievement, works great for us.
How does it harm your game play that we get Steady Flight same time as Skyriding?
Was it a problem that BC required you to be level 70 to fly at all (until the middle of Wrath)?
Was it a problem that Wrath required you to be level 80 to fly, and to purchase the BOA book?
Actually the first world may have a bad rep for being materialistic. But the one thing we do is to help out the less abled and if we can help disabled players yes we should. That is the positive power of first world living for sure.
The fact that you continue to be angered about this topic existing is very telling. My investment in the topic is explicit and clear.
If we have the ability to voice and amplify our feedback in unison as a positive player community we do have the responsibility to help other gamers that do not have the ability or fear voicing feedback because some people make fun of them.
The forums have ignore features as a tool and you can choose not to discuss a topic but this topic must be integral if people are that deeply invested. Honestly I am semi retired from the flying topic debates since systemlands honestly. But other people since DF beta have carried the torch and I am very proud of them.
But the reality is we are discussing why disabled players can not use dragon riding and why gating TBC normal flying behind PF is fully of folly as that makes it even worse.
The reason why this topic continues from dragon flight beta till now TWW live client is simple. The issues have not been resolved and this is why the topic isn’t going away no matter how many times people proclaim that it should go away.
The general discussion forum is for all relevant topics and not topics that a select few feel that should only belong. That power structure is no more and long gone from the general forums. The forums are about open dialogue and this is why the WoW GMs tell us the best place to put our feedback are on these very forums.
So kudos to all the players with vision, fatigue, disabilities, nausea, etc that have voiced such feedback so far in this thread. Thank you very much as you are all valued members of the WoW community.
OP literally mentioned it. Tell me you didn’t read their post and just read through comments looking to jump in somewhere.
Time to admit you were wrong based on the above alone.
What about my character?
That I refuse to cater to people who want to be disingenuous?
Why is it okay for y’all to continually attack my character and demand the game bow to your whims?
Like come on.
Considering you don’t even know what the topic is about?
When I’ve tried being helpful and the same people just keep complaining to complain? When does feedback turn into complaining? How is it not okay to call these people out for what they are doing?
Why is it okay for you to defend this nonsense?
Notice I haven’t been replying negatively to people just posting feedback.
All of your posts are exactly the same copy/paste nonsense and have been since August. You don’t actually care about the topic. All you care about is uping your post count.
Otherwise…
Because clearly you do not care about advocating for people and just being noise on the forums. Otherwise you wouldn’t cherry pick WHO you advocate for.
Dragon riding never existed then. This topic at the top of the thread says “Skyriding is too hard for disabled gamers”
You can disagree or agree with that but that is what the topic states. I hope that helps you.
Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud.
This is just a ‘well I won’t use it, so you shouldn’t be able to either’ thread in disguise.
Cool. Ground mount like you have been the past 20 years and unlock tbc flight in a few hours.
That is reasonable.
The original poster said they can not use skyriding. You are not winning any argument because that is their opinion.
How can someone have the “wrong opinion”?
Also, this isn’t about winning or losing because the only logical win is removing PF to help out disabled gamers. That is something most of the WoW community agrees should have happened long ago.
Easy win for the devs if they choose to put ego aside and help out their disabled WoW gamers. They pay the same sub price as we abled players do.
by having a “false opinion”
