Skyriding is too hard for disabled gamers

As a person with invisible and not physical disabilities. I can say Skyriding has improved in this expansion. Though, in some parts especially when I got flying on in Siren Isle. I changed it back to steady flying. On those players there. I havent changed it on some players, as I have flown that much to warranting changing it on them.

In saying this, even though it is better, it still hard, because even will invisible disabilities, they do convert to the physical, when playing games, especially when the more agressive or uglier parts of those disabilities arise. Without having pathfinder (which I had over a month or more ago - or before those times) even with said improvement it was still hard to use the skyriding (though got slightly better, because of all the spells filled as well too) and continual - semi forced use of it, as in it was still the quicker way to flop over the place from A to B to C…flop flop flop. Yes, as I wasn’t good at flying. Though with some errors, I am now better at flying with still some flop flop.

Though now I can use the steady/stable riding, that’s what I am going to change over too when I get the chance on all my characters. As for quests, I have done none of the skyriding quests in any of the expansions, except the required ones. WQ and repeatables, get the big hand of nope :no_good_man: :no_good_man: :no_good_man:

If they put a fairness to help with disabilities to do such world quests, I would do them. But I gather not. They didn’t do anything because I had dexterity issue with the Mage Tower in Legion. I cannot see them making moves like this now. Though I still have hope, as they have added things after that time and I think for that expansion as well. Though it may of been the first thing, which I cant remember what.

Luckily Blizzard didn’t nerf spell effects, instead they added an option to turn if off for those that have a hard time with it. Same with the motion sickness effects of Skyriding. Thanks Blizzard for adding these accessibility options.

How does it harm you that Blizzard adds accessibility options?

It is not a serious subject matter, you make that all up in your own head. This doesn’t even count as click bait material on Streaming channels for streamers to post on. That is how insignificant of a topic it really is. You constantly trying to bring it up and bump the topics with your nonsense doesn’t make it anymore important.

Thank you as well for sharing your story. That is a great story where you try to adapt the best you can.

Being that my own disability is described as “cognitive decline” (AKA “Early Onset Alzheimer’s Dementia”), I don’t really have a dog in this show, but I read every post within this thread and have a question.

I wonder how many of you - whether you agreed or disagreed with each other - formed a friendship with someone within this thread?

That’s all. Just curious. No names, just did you or didn’t you?

Personally, I have made many friends from my own questions, and if nothing else, I suspect this may have happened (or is happening) here.

There certainly has been much opportunity.

Thanks

No problems. Whenever I do things, or apply for things - then want to see things improved. Sure I want them improved for me. But I want them improved for everyone. Be it this for people with disabilities or the phasing problems that BLIZZARD have been having for a while with places like Oribos and Undercity. I found the solution(s) or workarounds on top of previous workarounds, because THE WAR WITHIN has added onto previously solve issues with it. I have previously linked it in another forum, though it here for anyone that still has that issue with alts to take a look as well. So, not for just for people with disabilities, but everyone. It’s part of my core values. Though if you want to know more about what those are, ask me. I’m not going to preach them unless someone asks.

Alyx, who the PORTAL is Alyx - MORE ABOUT PHASING THOUGH.

Hope this help the general populace as well

I have people on my friend list but I can sympathise in some thing with you other I can more that like empathise with (yes, there’s a great difference)! Not going to spell it out which here. I keep up with a few mainly, some even from the guild i’m in. Some even on FB that arent playing no more or currently.

Though even now, and see others that are working through disabilities of their own, have trouble keeping up each that. Though sometimes it is just a simple hello, gif (or slightly more) emoji and how each of are going - like r u ok (365/6 days a year almost)! Also if we have any appointments we have coming up or have been through that talk shortly for supprt talk about - yes slightly more personal support bc we have been friends so long.

However, with saying this, don’t forget there are other organisations that help people generally and with disabilities, both through the web and FB. Like Lifeline, Beyond Blue, Sunflower (sorry forgot the whole name). And various support (private and non private) groups on FB - that range from ME/CFS, NDIS, Centrelink (yes a support group away from the government - for serious talks).

You can see that I am genuine by these, that I do want to try and help everyone, whether myself or pointing them in the right direction to others can help them. Then someone may add to it, because they have seen what I said, but it may be that someone hasn’t done that before.

Skyriding is awful. It’s just a way for devs to artificially inflate played time within limited content.

Well I do not see gating TBC flying behind pf helping with time played metrics. IMVHO!

I made my up from a combination being female, not a stormtrooper (but yes still misses) <— one i remembered more recently -lol like today(silly brain fog), casting spells, and the incorrect spelling of her name. Similarly for my other characters (most - some are just boring rolls) like the BEDK here in the posts. It’s an ironic thing that BEs do not have LOVE HANDLES. Maybe that should be a topic? Discussing player name origins.

So if they added an option to help with the motion sickness of dragon flying, why are people still whining?

Because enough is never enough and people just like to whine.

Most can agree that its pretty silly to have tbc flight behind pathfinder these days. But because the requirements are almost nonexistent, its really a non issue aside from the .01%.
Its mostly people white knighting and weaponizing handicapped to throw their tantrums.

And its funny because this was a dead topic until we started nearing the next patch. Why? They think if they kick and scream enough, blizz will bow to them before the next patch launches.
But as we saw with the back tracking with the mm pet. Enough is never enough because now its shifted to frost mage pets :joy:

Blizzard added several options to reduce motion sickness while using Skyriding. Personally they helped me but did not resolve the problem.

Sorry to hear that.

I have made friends with some from the forums but that comes with time.

As a positive WoW gamer this is my inner core.

This is not about whining. It’s about making the game about equal access to all. If you think this. I think you must of slipped back to the 1800s whilst still using a computer.

It’s fun when people go out of their way to be offended.
