Ok, now go farm herbs for about half an hour with just skyriding, then you’ll see why we switch to regular flying.

I’ve never minded swimming, ever since Vanilla. I never understood why people hate it so much.

Why do people keep saying this? I gather all the time with just skyriding. My Mage alt is a double gatherer and I use nothing but skyriding, and I gather a lot. It is prolly one of the main things I do in game. I still can’t remember the last time I ran out of vigor.
I am not the only one, too. I see a lot of the other gatherers with me also using skyriding. There are some steady flight people, sure, but that is their choice. Skyriding is perfectly viable for gathering.
I mean, use what you like since taste is subjective, but I wish people would stop pretending that extended gathering with skyriding is such a huge disadvantage.
I just suck at managing vigor, I kept running out especially if there’s nodes close by.

That is fair. Like I said, taste is subjective. If you dislike skyriding or find it a pain it is perfectly reasonable to switch to steady fight. It is there for a reason. More choice is always better.
I am always just confused when people insinuate that gathering is impossible with skyriding is all. It is not. Not liking to use it is perfectly valid though. 
I use it for everything else, just not gathering.
It did confuse me when I queued up for a dungeon and got dawnbreaker, didn’t know regular flying worked in there.

I am convinced there are a sect of players who just want suffering for all if they themselves are minorly inconvenienced. Like that dude the other day saying TWW questing should’ve been restricted to ground mounts- only to be swiftly reminded that they could impose that self-restriction on their levelling experience literally any time they wanted
major bruh moment, i think we’re hitting that point where some WoW players are hitting the karen age bracket lol

And then they all jumped on the motion sickness excuse that a few people had. If you’re a person that’s been playing this game long enough you’d have gotten it from way more than just that but suddenly tons of people claim sky riding gives it to them and only that. Bull. Yes a good number do and they’ve been affected by numerous other things and aren’t as vocal.

Sad sorry bad comparison of “dur you can ground mount” has been defeated so many times so maybe you should save face and stop trying to keep using it.

My only issue with Skyriding is not being able to switch flight styles mid flight. I think once you hit the arial halt button, you should be able to seemlessly switch to “old” flying so you can precisely land or move between obstacles.

yea think you’re on your own here.by comparison it’s much more fluid than started “float in air flying”
I for one enjoy it and tbh keeps me playing. I log in fly around log out. Tell them to fix the rest of the game then come at flying.
Dragonriding (Skyriding) is literally way way faster than normal epic flight.

By virtue that you’re strangely defending that point, I can confidently say your logic is still moot if the most you’ve got is “waaahhhh you can’t use that!!!”. Complaining that self-imposed limitations isn’t enough and all should suffer for one’s own deranged desired for widespread limitation is certainly a take! Keep on trying though bud! I’m sure Blizz will do it one day soon and it will definitely go well with the overwhelming majority of players who would abhor something like that!
