Maybe that’s a hint to give skyriding a try and understand how it works.
I know they do. They’ve edited one or two of mine in the past.
Just not buying that they edited yours - if they did, it’s probably over the “lmao” but they should have given you a reason with the notification, so… yknow.
When does it change it back?
I have been using non sky riding for like 2 weeks without a change back.
This largely feels like the basis of many WoW complaints. User error and not understanding how things work.

You can’t just bring old flying up to skyriding and say that would be the same. Skyriding’s speed is variable. You need to work to keep it at max. Old flying’s speed is fixed. It requires no work to keep it at max.
Keep them separate and keep them different. Old flying is slower, but you get more precision, and skyriding is faster but requires more effort. They both have their niche.

Your stance does not automatically change outside of very specific circumstances. Only one that comes to mind is doing a dragonflying world quest/race.
Otherwise, I have been in non dragonflying mode for a week+ and it has not changed.

If its a bug, its not that common. Which also means skyriding is not “default”.
And if the bug is causing this level of a forum spat, because you cant occasionally spend 5 seconds to change form.

So why not just use skyriding then? I gather for hours at a time with a skyriding mount. Fast, and with the gathering perks you do not run out of vigor. This is a double gatherer though, so maybe that makes a difference. Every time I harvest I get a point back, and since I have both gathering professions on my gatherer I get a lot of vigor back. Maybe it is harder if you only have one of the gathering professions and are gathering less.
Thats not how it works.
