Six Days for Free Character Transfer to process?

So today I intiated a free character transfer from Sulfuras US (WotLK) to Benediction US. Normally I’ve had transfers take a few hours up to a day or two which I understand. However in this instance it has the time to transfer at over 6 days. Anyone else running into this issue? Wouldn’t mind as much but of course it won’t let me login to the character. Would it be faster just to pay for the transfer myself?

Probably because the system is busy with the recently reopened transfers.

Well up over 7 days now…hopefully it’s just a bottleneck.

The estimate given can balloon when a high number of player-characters are all requested at the same time. For today’s new transfers, you can expect longer-than-normal times to process, and the time it takes will go down as the system works through them.
