Siren's Isle is aggressively lame

It’s just Forbidden Reach but worse in every concievable way. I don’t even mind it being ground only, but the concept of a bunch of ocean based enemies coming to an island to fight over its riches while the player character and a united front of allies from the expansion show up to empower a magic ring is WORD FOR WORD what Forbidden Reach was.

You guys didn’t even try to deliver something unique. You brough out an unused BFA Isle Expedition and used it to rehash the season 1 filler content from LAST EXPANSION. Smh.

At least Forbidden Reach bridged the gap between season 1’s story and season 2’s story in Dragonflight. The story bridge in this expansion doesn’t even have anything to do with Siren’s Isle. The zone is literally irrelevant to everything happening. It’s a blatant sidestory with no connection.

It also doesn’t have a feature like the vaults to at least make coming back somewhat worthwhile.

Good news is it can be completed fully in 3 weeks, including the secret mount with a few hours there a week.

“Good news, the bad, lazy content doesn’t take long to do.”
Why would I even want to complete something that is boring and unfun? If they expect us to do more WoW chores while we wait for season 2, they should at least put it in a zone that’s fun to look at and at least somewhat unique.

it feels like Blizzard is just creatively bankrupt

Idk, Undermine looks good other than the new dungeon reusing an outdoor area and a delve. I just think they’re being made to cut corners to develop Midnight at the same time.

Siren’s Isle is partial patch content that was shipped instead of having a larger content draught.

For what it is, it’s fine.

Could it be better? Sure.

But its entire point is to offer a soft nerfing of content for late season players through the ring, and give mog hunters something to do.

Its just a late season fluff island. Takes very little work for the basics.

Quality of content is trending downwards and you guys are excusing it. Pretty wierd if you ask me. Like I already said, this is a rehash of Forbidden Reach. Forbidden Reach filled the same roll in the patch cycle that Siren’s Isle did but Siren’s Isle is worse in every way. Do I really need to spell out why its a bit disconcerting that the quality of content is going down?

i thought up siren’s isle. and undermine. i haven’t thought up anything past that so don’t worry i am pretty sure they are going to be okay without me if not please tell me blizzard.

I mean you’re fine to elaborate, if you want, I don’t see anyone really disagreeing they just don’t care as much. You can think that is weird too. Maybe it is weird that people have varying opinions and priorities.

You’re boring and unfun!

But no really. The zone is perfect of a late season injection of content. Easy catch up for alts. Takes less than an hour if you want to do all the things on a fresh toon. It’s 100% soloable. Currency is super easy to get.

It’s literally the best version of forbidden reach. I would know. I got the DF meta and took 15-20 toons there for the ring and catch up :joy: :sob:

Forbidden Reach had a lot going on. It had a rare cycle that people would group up and chase. It had the Primalist boss where you’d collect elemental slime for a mount. It had the Vaults which was a proto-delve.

Siren Isle could have used a delve. That’s the flagship content of the expansion why isn’t it being showcased here?

Heh, its always funny to watch the shills defend every lame decision Blizz makes

Community Managers did’t care about this zone enough to do a thread in the community council… a member had to do it.

I think we’re back to the times before lawsuits with less communication

I feel that. I had someone offer me 500k for the boots that drop off a boss in lfr today, and instead of taking the gold I kept the boots. That is how much I dislike it.

Siren Isle is sort of tasteless filler to me. I don’t hate, I just don’t feel any compelling reason to spend time there. It’s a non-flying area at a time when I’m enjoying flying across the world. It’s a resourceless area at a time when gathering resources is my highest priority. It’s an old-fashioned daily quest hub (that’s weekly) at a time when I still have a bit of a remix hangover. It’s offering me a long currency grind for collectables at the same time I’m feeling a bit adrift about what the future of collecting is for me. It’s offering my alts gear that I’m not likely to use very much before a new season renders it obsolete. As I said, I don’t hate it and I am participating a little each week … but it’s just a rare situation where the newest content isn’t at the top of my priority list.

It’s… forcefully dull?

Wut?

No. They didn’t. Because they’re working on player housing and the answer to not losing a raid tier for it was to toss in unused assets that are easy to implement.

Personally, I’m fine with Siren Isle now that I’ve gone out there.
