Siren Isle Feedback

Now that we’re on week 3 since Siren Isle was released I thought it would be a good time to have a thread to give our feedback regarding it.

Cyrce’s Circlet:

Initially I was wary of the circlet since it reminded me of the Forbidden Reach annulet but it feels a lot better. I love that there is a skip where alts can get the ring, first upgrade and gem right away. That and the warbound citrines feels really alt friendly. The upgrading quests haven’t been too tedious (so far at least) and I like the 2nd week in particular of getting a swim speed buff to show the powers the ring gives us on the isle.

Lore:

I love all the story that was added in this patch in little tidbits. The story of the isle in tablets that tell the story of the Vrykul group from Northrend. I also enjoy that there was letters and quests showing the lore of the Kul Tirans briefly inhabiting the island.

I also like how the Arathi, Earthen and Goblins are working together so it is nice to experience not just more of them but also see how they interact with each other. Overall it felt nice and appropriate for a minor patch.

Side note I was hoping we would be able to deliver Macmillan’s last words to his wife Esther Macmillan. I tried talking to her in Boralus and even getting out the pet Marmaduke to see if there was any interaction. I hope that something could be added there. It reminds me of the time we receive the Letter from Kirygosa which mentions she wants it delivered to Kalec but we’re never actually able to give it to him in Dragonflight.

Cosmetics:

I like the amount of cosmetics that were added in this patch. There’s a lot and I think collectors love it. I think my only feedback is I wished some of the cosmetics were not on the vendor and more spread out. It feels like Flamed-blessed iron is the only way to get them when I felt like rares or the hidden wind treasures could have dropped some cosmetics to spice up looking for them.

I am also glad the Stormcrow mount Thrayir mount was finally obtainable after 12 years, better late than never for such an amazing bird.

Bugs:

This patch had quite a few bugs but I think they felt more pronounced since a few of the bugs remained over the holidays. Bugs like the cave rare not rewarding the citrine or how some rares can only be tagged by 5 people then is gray for everyone else. Which is understandable since Blizzard goes on holiday too, it just makes me wonder whether the patch should have been pushed slightly earlier to allow more time or later.

Overall it was an enjoyable patch. I didn’t expect much from it since it is a minor patch and I felt like it was appropriately sized. I liked the smaller island since it felt more cozy and gave a reason to use ground mounts again.
