I could see that but it’s going to end up being a constant source of contention. Regardless of which ends up on top (for all classes that have the split now), we’ll see some people that prefer the other complaining that Blizz hates them. It won’t be everyone obviously but it’ll be there.
Agreed. Min/maxers will do what they do and complainers will complain but I think that, as long as they keep the difference from getting too extreme, it will be good for most players.

I’ll always lean towards 2h, but at least now this gives a use for the near endless 1h that show up in WQ’s, when all I want is a 2h. Also, there should be a thread up looking to get gladiator back. That’s the only real change that I care about them making.

1handed swords have the best mogs in the game. Also SMF would allow fury warriors to use fist weapons like back in tBC with the godly vanir fist weapons
If Blizzard didn’t accept Crapitivision we would literally have better CS.
Omg I can finally use my Claws of Creation on the correct class!
Awesome i miss my SMF warrior woot woot!
Movement speed increased by 5 % ? so…
-Will you be doing less damage than Titan so you can move 5% faster
or
-Are you doing same damage as Titan but moving 5 % faster.
Both ways suck
Agreed.
Not to mention their positioning. Too many of them make me look like I have two giant lightning rods sticking up over my shoulders
Can they balance it so that dual 1h is just as strong as dual 2h … that remains to be seen. Lot of variables to think about. Stats + speed + damage make for a number of variables to account for.
I like that movement flavor it makes sense because warriors have np weilding 2handers so the bonus to move faster then normal makes sense when useing SMF.

procs on 1handers procs on 2handers ext if those return in shadowlands.
Ah yes. Procs as well. So there are variables they’ll need to work out. I believe it CAN be done. The question is, how thorough of a job will they do to balance them so that one side isn’t like a 17% difference in power and thus nobody will go SMF as a result.
Considering math is involved it will never be exactly equal.
My question to you (global you) is how close is “close enough?”

I think if it’s something like 1 to 5% difference it will be fine imho if its 17% or higher i can see why it would suck instead.

At long last. I can punch while burning with rage and HULK SMASH with Rampage.
It’s been so long. So long…
Disappointing that Blizz would rather bring back SMF than give us an invisible shield mog, but at this point, I’ll take it. Gladly.

The bleeding edge will of course go for that small difference, but they can’t just think of the bleeding edge. Otherwise everyone else tends to suffer.
And yes, so long as the difference is that small … I think the majority will be fine with it.

We shall see.
The corruption catchup gets a lot of hate and in another posts people were showing sims where their 30 corruption gap was only 3-4% of a dps difference.
Congrats warriors!!!
Now the real question. Can I use a 2h weapon in my main hand and a 1h in my off hand?

Can you? Probably (assuming that all the abilities will work). Should you? Not really. You’ll lose the SMF bonus because you’re not DW 1H weapons and you won’t have the raw damage of using 2 2H weapons.
