They weren’t completely empty before they were nerfed. You don’t need them to be the most popular mode in order to be useful to a currently underserved segment of the population that isn’t currently engaging with the content at all.
And it isn’t always going to be you.
If you don’t want to queue for M+ nobody is going to make you. Whether you people like it or not, there are plenty of people who would take advantage of it and probably prefer it over premade group finder pugs. The system isn’t about you or for you if you like M+ the way it is. It’s for the large number of people who currently don’t and aren’t engaging with it.
If it came with an ironclad promise no decision regarding M+ would ever be influenced by the queued M+ playerbase then sure.
But we’ve seen this song and dance before.
Thing exists, people want automatic queue for thing, people fail thing for XYZ reason, people complain to blizzard because their groups are failing and blizzard made the groups, thing gets nerfed.
The issue is the yells for nerfs that would accompany a queue system.
Yeah, but I feel like that works fine for the pants on head level dungeons 0-7 could be a good starting point to see if it works. It could be a fine middle ground between delves and real m+. I just don’t see why it would be an issue since I doubt it’d be hard to implement, and I don’t think it would negatively affect the game if done incrementally. If it had a solid side reward of mounts or always gave gold/rune caches it could even be popular.
It wouldn’t hurt anything.
You can still make your own key.
How is this hard to understand?
WHOOAAA
Do YoU hAvE tHoSe LoTtO nUmBeRs?!
If your issue is going to be about people potentially complaining about a system, then I feel like it’s a nonissue.
So what happens when the queue assembles a group without a hero/lust? What if it has no battle rez? What if the comp doesn’t really have ways to deal with the special affixes?
People would riot over that. But what’s the alternative? Sitting in queue forever until some AI system determines that it has a viable comp?
There’s just too many things that would be problematic for a random group, especially at higher levels.
So your view is Blizzard should implement a system which would bring about wide spread complaints?
Man.
Blizzard must be hitting it out the ball park for you lately.
It removes nothing for you.
It only gives options to those who don’t want to deal with the lfg tool.
And yeah…I WOULD like those lotto numbers
And not used by enough people, resulting in 3 hour wait times, even more complaints about queue times for DPS than current, amd an overall waste of time/resources.
Well, I suppose, what systems haven’t people complained about? I’m more of a is the complaint valid type of thinker myself.
It would bring about complaints of the queue system and wide spread calls for things to be nerfed.
It would be a queue system so long, people would complain. Then they would complain about not having the right group comp. Then they would complain about failures.
It would not accomplish its goals, while pressuring Blizzard to nerf everything.
It adds an entirely new audience to the content who’s whims and desires are likely to affect the development of the content in future.
In short. People will complain. A lot.
I think its a valid complaint to point out it would not accomplish its goals, while increasing negative game play for nearly everyone participating.
And every time this gets brought up (ive mentioned it twice in this thread alone), it just so happens to be the one thing that’s ignored and not quoted/responded to
People complain about literally everything in this game…
People complain every expansion and every change that gets made.
People will always complain…about everything. Should blizz never make another change again?
I think we need to first comprehend the difficulty level in which you are trying to use as the arguing point of adding m+ to lfg
15 to 17? Ummmmmm… who’s going to tell them?
or when the group is formed, the key is started, someone randomly dies and another person leaves. Key is bricked cuz you can’t add more people.
Then we have people complaining they sat in queue for an hour, got in a group, and it was immediately bricked.
Same issues would be around, but it would be worse.
