That’s your choice, but don’t try to throw them into the fire if you aren’t going to use the tools Blizzard gave you.
In the end, what they do has zero bearing on your account actions. Their rule breaking does not allow you to do the same.
Wait, what do you mean? Every player has to level their own characters. There is no “service” to allow you to do it for them.
If their website operates in a different country than the USA, then they likely CAN’T be touched. Blizzard has no jurisdiction in other countries, where the authorities are much more lenient.
Yes, breaking a rule gets you actioned. Again, the fact that other players may be breaking rules does not give you the right to also break the rules.
there actually is, you can help someone level his dragon thanks to the whelp system. And it’ll be used for that, especially by RMT boosters that are probably the one who reported me.
They can’t action their website, they can action their characters. It’s not even like they’re hiding.
I won’t even discuss the action on my account, it’s a waste of time. This thread alone is already a good example of how customers are treated.
But i wonder if a CS member statement is the same as a literal line of text in the ToS, i think not. Nowhere in the ToS is mentionned what Kaivax said, it’s mentionned however how is supposed to work the service chat (cf. link in my OP)
Again where i work, rules that are not to be broken are clearly stated all in the same place. I don’t think it’s good practice to have clarifications hidden in the WoW Council subthread, this information has its place in the ToS. Put it there ?
And we do, regularly. I only wish I was allowed to share those numbers, they are mind boggling - but they will keep coming back just as long as players are willing to give them money.
did you sell in /2? that will get a you a silence. did you sell on a character not actually doing the boost? aka low level cross server? that will also get you a silence.
Yes, i know that now thanks to the thread.
Again if my case can be used for something. Get all the factual informations about advertising in the ToS, i don’t even know why i have to state something that obvious.
Let’s be real, people see every day level 1 advertising. We don’t have clear statements on the ToS that this isn’t allowed, and since the level 1 are always there. People like myself that start a boosting service might think it’s ok.
I get that it’s not, but do every people in my case have to get a 7 day silence to have the information ? No, just put the rule, where the rules are. Not in the forum.
EDIT :
And i’m not expecting the community manager to answer me anymore.
I stated that i was fine with the punishment (spoiler : i’m not) just to end the discussion about that.
However, i can still try to understand and show how inconsistent is the report system.
People who will read this thread will know, like i do now, that you can be warned and silenced for abusive language when you weren’t using abusive language.
GM are human and make mistakes, ok i get that. At which moment the consistency of those mistakes is just a syndrom of bad Customer support, i guess people will judge themselves.
sounds like you know exactly what tos is to me. its a sticky at the top of the forums. if you keep breaking it the account will have more action taken against it. also other boosters will instant spam reports on people breaking tos to get them out of the game asap. word of advice just dont boost
You’ve been given the information and told you’ll just have to wait by multiple people including a Community Manager who currently has bigger things to deal with right now like massive server issues preventing folks from actually playing the new expansion that went live about an hour ago. Constantly debating the point here is not going to change those facts.
Also keep in mind that, unless Blizzard has changed the way silences work, this is not your first one.
