This is the chat log I received from blizzard customer service and yet I don’t see anything remotely offensive considering this is on a RP server. Please explain to me how this is deemed offensive? Why is this reported for being something chat offensive? Have they seen MoonGuard chat? The chat log context is during a wait in Blanchy raid where a player was harassing me and called me a “B*tch” and then proceeds to tell me his discord buddies are there as well watching me and talking trash about me. This IS the chatlog. “Wyvern’s Tail” is an emote caused by using the toy “fae harpe” and mounting on a vial drake to dance. Apparently this is deemed offensive with “sick mount Naldi” who had blanchy mounted. How, again, is this deemed offensive and intrusive to another player’s environment? I’m confused. There are more players who are more worrisome that will actually threaten others that do not get chat banned but I get chat banned for this? This is ridiculous.

You should have right-clicked them when they said this and reported them for language.

If you feel that you were wrongly actioned, then all you can do is appeal the decision via a ticket.
Feel free to reopen your ticket to appeal it again. But posting the chat log here would not be recommended.

I actually did report the person. This player was telling me how annoying i was to others during blanchy raid group so I reported him. I don’t know why I got reported but I assume it is because he had more friends who were there at blanchy raid false reporting me. He specifically said in his chat log he was talking in his discord friends about me and his friends were also there.
@Perl, I kept the name confidential but this is necessary because it’s things like this that gives blizzard a bad rep when people get wrongfully chat banned for unnecessary things. This is my third appeal and still no avail. I’m not sure what’s really going on.
Only that we have no way of knowing if that’s the actual chat you were actioned for beyond you saying that it was.
Nevertheless, you can’t appeal via the forums. You can only reopen your ticket until such time that you’re told no further appeals will be accepted.

If they’re not reported, nothing will happen. If they were reported you won’t know if they have incurred a penalty.

You can re-open your ticket, but my guess is that when the other person mounted you and you said you were bucking it was taken as innuendo. This assumes the chat log you shared is correct and it is what was reviewed.
Just because others speed does not make it ok for you to do so. If you get caught you get a penalty.
Edit - I should say reported. To get caught you have to get reported. They don’t monitor chat just looking for infractions.

I do not see why it is necessary to incur a penalty and none of what I have said is against ToS. I will have to disagree with your opinion on getting caught as I was not caught, I was reported by others. I brought up MoonGuard chat because the chat log I brought up does not violate ToS.
A better explanation of the type of chat that Blizzard penalizes for is found in the Forum Code of Conduct. Sexual innuendo or references is not allowed. It does not matter if YOU meant it that way, if the average person would take it that way, the mods will penalize for it.
See the more details chat infractions that are also generally used in game here
Edit - if you still feel your chat did not violate the EULA and policies feel free to appeal again.
A LOT of what gets said on MoonGuard is against the EULA (there is no TOS). Again though, they act on reports, they don’t stop people from doing it before or as they type.

As the resident Moon Guard-ian, being on an RP server does not give any excuse or reasoning for added buffer with language or chat. As for Goldshire or anywhere else on the server? (since people judge MG based on a minority of the population that are mostly off-server trolls - not most of us who enjoy the RP scene…just saying.)
If it’s not reported it’s not actioned. Pretty simple.
As for you seeing nothing offensive? You don’t get to decide what is offensive to other people. Someone reported you. A real live GM looked over the report and agreed with it and sanctioned you.
If you see someone being offensive? You report them. They can’t decide for you what you may deem offensive any more than you can for me or anyone else.

Something else, chat does not have to be “offensive” to be against the rules. Some pretty funny things are against the rules, still not ok to say them just because they are funny instead of offensive.

It seems I am talking with semantics and perceived perceptions. It is quite unfortunate but I guess this means good bye subscription. Paying 15 bucks to get silenced for this kind of chat log despite having the option to /ignore a player is appalling on Blizzard’s ToS. I have to disagree with you all because it is very clear that the appeal system and the GM do not understand their own ToS. What is perceived and what is evident are two different things. No matter how bad a chat can get, one should ONLY be reported for ACTUAL vulgar language or threatening as opposed to things that have been said in this chat log. If you disagree, that’s fine. “Otherwise objectionable/human anatomy”. Yeah. No context about any of that in chatlog.
They do understand the EULA - again, there is no TOS.
I am bluntly telling you sexual innuendo and masked profanity (reference to a sexual act). Is not allowed. It is also probably what you got silenced for.
The existence of the Ignore feature, or the mature language filter don’t give you permission to break the rules. Those are for when people really really can’t behave and someone wants to get rid of them before Blizz has acted on reports.
Act in public in game the same way you would around mixed company at a business event or family friendly event. Strangers of all ages are there - and they may not share your sensibilities or sense of humor.
Save the off color jokes and chat for Guild or private friends chat.

“I didn’t know I can ride druids” If this is what is deemed offensive then I guess so. Because what I was referring to when I said this particular line was the fact that I was now knowledgeable that druids can be mounted on as a mount if they bought the training for it.
The existence of the ignore feature is readily available. You misunderstand. If you’re paying 15 for a service and this service prohibits you from doing one of the options that is a core of the game you are missing the point. This has nothing to do with breaking the rules.
Scroll up in the thread. I already quoted and told you what you likely got silenced for. Read it again.
Ignore does not allow you to break the chat rules you agreed to. Period.

And I already told you that this is ridiculous.
The policies have been explained to you. What I think, or you think, does not really matter. We agreed to those rules in order to play the game. Masked profanity/sexual actions is not something they allow.
You can continue with your appeal if you think the GMs are going to overturn it.
There are no GMs on the forums so that is your only option.

Then may you find your pleasure and enjoyment in a game that is more acceptable to your taste.
You’re missing the part where you agree to what Blizzard says and dictates. This is a private company and your personal thresholds and beliefs mean little to nothing. They don’t have to cater to you or anyone else - but they will follow what guidelines they have been given. If you don’t agree to them, then your money will surely be accepted elsewhere.

Hi and welcome to Customer Support, not to be confused with Customer Service. Seeing as this is a forum for players to assist other players, that is what we posters do. We try to help folks and point out ways to help or clarify where we can.
Just like I’ll be trying to advise you that this is the last forum you want to try and troll, seeing as it’s the most heavily moderated forum. So please be mindful that unconstructive posts like yours are usually pretty quickly dealt with, and to continue to test our SFAs will likely leave you with a vacation.

Hi, just because you disagree does not mean it’s trolling. I shared my opinion on how things are in a respectful manner. Please don’t derail from the topic at hand to try and start an argument.
