"Sigil of the Vengeful Heart" Not Available for Purchase

You are very wrong, Sigil of awareness wasd available on the vendor since day 1 of launch. ive had it since the first week from badges. are you slow in the head

@Blizzard please respond. Ridiculous y’all are taking this to respond to this post.

The “logic” wasn’t logic. It was an oversight. There’s a reason the items were only available from the relic vendor and not the regular badge vendor.

Claiming that a mistake sets an unbreakable precedent is how selfish people perpetuate injustices. That’s a general observation on the rhetorical argument, nothing to do with the sigil specifically.

I don’t really care one way or another whether the sigil is available for badges or not. Our only UH DK got it from XT last night, so it doesn’t benefit me either way.

Loot RNG is a thing in WoW. We’ve all had to work around it or cursed the loot gods for not providing their bounty. At the end of the day, the absolute worst case scenario for UH DKs is they miss out on their expansion BiS sigil for an entire phase and season, then have it for the rest of the expansion. That’s a better situation than the rest of us looking for a specific PvE drop face.

Maybe this is the single most important pvp item in history and you’ll be useless for the whole season without it. Every season of arena has players who can’t be all they can be because a key item didn’t drop. Bad luck?

Feel free to make the fairness in arena argument. It doesn’t hurt to ask. But consider that just because you care about the issue a lot doesn’t mean that you should get your way. Maybe they should nerf the sigil so the value over replacement in pvp is greatly reduced instead? Seems just as valid a response.

How are we to assume or deny that this was a mistake in phase 1? We have no clarification either way.

Well, we look at the evidence.

The Ulduar ranged slot items are not available for badges now. That’s indicative, but not determinative, because the Naxx ranged slot items were available for badges in P1.

In original WotLK, the raid ranged slot items were not available for badges until the subsequent phase.

The Classic client runs on an end of expansion patch by default. On that patch, the ranged slot items were available for purchase.

In P1, the Naxx ranged slot items were only available from one specialist vendor, as opposed to other badge items which were available at both the specialist vendor and the general badge vendor.

In P2, the Naxx ranged slot items are now available from the general badge vendors, in addition to the specialists.

On the P2 PTR, the Ulduar ranged slot items were available on the general badge vendors. They are not on live. This suggests a deliberate change to remove them.

6 days into the new phase, the items have not been added to the badges vendors.

Feel free to believe what you want, but the only evidence to suggest that the ranged slot items were intended to be purchased in their current phase is that they were available on only one of two possible vendors in P1. It was an anomaly.

So you should just be able to buy it for a few emblems then? l o l get a grip mama.

No, instead we have to kill an easily puggable boss and pray it drops instead of spending the opportunity cost of badges from clearing the exact same content

Please justify to me why you believe individual players of the exact same class clearing the exact same content every week should have a 15% performance delta in PVP on the basis of PURE RNG, not as a reward for clearing exceptionally difficult content or some consistency based mechanic like Shadowmourne/Valanyr.

If you can’t, literally nobody on earth is preventing you from not posting your uninformed opinions on a topic that doesnt impact you in the slightest

The real issue is, why is the bis sigil for pvp come from pve, and the bis sigil for pve come from pvp?

But they’ll never fix that

One of the frustrating things about this discussion is that there’s so much pushback from people based on PvE impact. There are already several items available for emblems that are larger PvE upgrades than the sigil.

Based on the wowhead drop rate, if you’re the only DK in your guild you have about a 10% chance of being at a really significant disadvantage in arena all season long. If your raid has two DKs who want to PvP, the second one has about a 37% chance of missing the sigil. That’s a pretty big chance to not be able to compete on an even footing for DK’s strongest season of WotLK.

Any updates on sigils returning to vendors?

No it isn’t. The 213 sigil is still gonna be better for frost DKs. Especially with all the armor pen. You aren’t very bright or you are one of those unholy Andy’s that rerolled so you can go afk while your gargoyle goes brrrrr.

Or are you prattling on about pvp? You must be since it isn’t even close to bis for PVE frost at all.

I don’t understand the “unfair advantage” part of this post.

Advantage to who? the race has been one day 1 and probably without it.

This thread is about the PvP value of the sigil; nowhere in this thread is anyone claiming this item is a requirement for PvE. It’s one of many similar upgrade items for unholy dps in PvE, and as you mention it isn’t even used by frost. But it’s a critical item to compete on a fair footing in PvP, which again is the whole point of this thread.

So what you want is for it to be disabled in pvp… got it.

Blizzard, please just give this DK the sigil and delete this thread.

If you think you’re entitled to every piece of bis then you should probably just go play retail. Classic has always had hard to get RNG items from raids. From onslaught girdle, dft, dst and nelths tear, some people never got these items throughout an entire year of play, you aren’t entitled to every piece of gear you want. You just gotta keep trying for them to increase your odds, which is how an mmo should be. Getting instant gratification only hurts in the long run when you find yourself full bis with nothing to chase.

I don’t think anyone is asking for “every piece of bis”, and I also wouldn’t support that sort of request. There are a lot of hard mode items in Ulduar that are part of a bis PvP setup, and nobody is asking for those to be treated any differently than they are today. This sigil, which is very important for PvP but the same as any other upgrade for PvE, is different. Based on wowhead drop rates, over the next three months we should expect roughly 87% of guilds to see at least one or more drop, 60% of raids to see two or more, and 30% of guilds to see three or more. For DKs who want to PvP competitively this is a pretty big issue, especially as DK will be significantly weaker after season 6.

Lacking any concept of reading comprehension, still being smug at the same time in action folks; be better than this guy who’s at least conscious enough to be ashamed of himself and not post on his main

It was added mid ulduar patch to vendors 3.1.4

Literally drops every kill… We will be sharding it next week
