Honestly I left shadowlands before they brought back the mage tower so I have no way to comment on it. But honestly cosmetic rewards is a bit boring for me personally. As ion pointed out in the interview. Everyone likes to see numbers go up.
Ok, where do you feel blizzard has successfully catered to you in the past? Again not being accusatory, I’m just trying to understand your perspective more.
If I’m racking my brain to think of solo activities that have rewarded genuinely powerful items I’m thinking of the isle of thunder rep reward trinkets.
Yep. MMo doesn’t really mean your being forced to play with or even interact with those players. Actually the birth of WoW was because an other MMo was requiring too much group content. I am unsure why people find this to be a valid argument. What part of Multiplayer makes you think you have to actually play with those people? And not just have them be in the same game at the same time.
From what I have seen, there’s a mix of dailies, world quests (not daily) and open world group activities (cooking soup, hunts, sieging, fishing) and more unlocks as renown is increased. Non daily quests seem to open up as you progress more too.
We are also only on chapter one of the campaign, as far as I can tell.
I think there’s also going to be elemental invasions. There are rewards and profession stuff tied to something I have yet to see in game.
This is week 1. I’m having fun, I am in no rush and I am not in a race with anyone. I’ve done all the quests I can find and now I feel like I can keep gearing my warrior, work on professions, work on alts, or do whatever.
I don’t think what we have right now is all that we are going to get, but I do think if there isn’t enough variation in the content we have for the open world it will get old fast.
People are free to play as much or as little as they want but I think at a certain point some people gotta realize that they are doing it (whatever it is) to themselves.
Legion actually felt pretty great TBH. I had the most enjoyment during that time period. Thanks to titanforging, plenty of world quests, and endless AP grinds I always had some goal I could work towards. But even in earlier versions of the game such as Vanilla WoW there was lots of world drops to persue and open world places to farm for hours which wasnt only intended for group. It at least allowed for a small boost in power even if not ideal. It wasn’t until around Cata the the cool epic world drops stopped really being a thing and wasn’t really introduces again until legion. It’s a difficult question to answer though because there was always something a little wrong with the way things was but it got progressively better with most expansions.
Oh boy. If that is your only point of attack then you’ve already lost the argument.
Already done. The gear gets replaced by week 1 or 2 the moment the season starts.
Your example with Wrathion doesnt work as it operates separately to the rest of the reputations due to it being farmable to max level within a day. There is no falling behind involved in this faction given how it works in the first place as the reputation gain per week isnt capped and achievable within a span of 6 hrs. So the maximum you could ever “fall behind” would be 6 hours of farming. And that is if you ignore him entirely.
It is not about it being replaced in a amount of time in general (which is the whole basis of your argument and refers to the example of “every patch gets replaced” which is apples and oranges and ergo void) but it being one of the lowest ilvl obtainable while being able to be replaced through +9 drops or upgrades that require zero rating from m+
They’re prioritizing the majrotiy, not the vocal minority. My hat is off to them!
Yea no kidding.
Say no to world quest spam.
I guess some people really want WoW as a job. Where you lose money to work.
SMH.
Literally impossible for anyone to know.
7hours from statement of change to reverting of changes. It’s not possible to collect enough feedback to know what the majority wants in that time span. You might hit one or two time zones provided the majority is even vocal about that feedback.
The AP stuff makes sense, though I personally wasn’t a fan of it. The idea that solo content has to provide sub optimal ilvl gear though has never really made sense to me, I’m just not sure how you successfully implement ways to increase ilvl in / for solo content without it also being important for those pushing difficult group content as well.
Personally I don’t see a reason why revered / exalted rep rewards can’t be equivalent to normal raid ilvl. Would that be a good change to you, though obviously relatively small.
End of the day if I can log in, kill baddies on my own, and feel like I progressed my character in some meaningful way I’m all aces.
I don’t feel like I’m being as unreasonable as some others in the thread make me out to be. I just want daily current content to do that progresses my character.
I don’t either, I think in principle that makes sense and should be something every player can empathize with. It’s why I suggested bumping all rep gear rewards up to 398 as the simplest thing that could quickly provide that sense of a tangible power increase that isn’t easily superceded or invalidated.
I think the question is at what rate is that progression adequate? Given there’s no AP system, the only tangible power increase that exists is ilvl, and that must have some end point. Where does it feel acceptable for that end point to be?
Tbh, it would be an okay way provided they had smaller Ilevel gear along the way to simulate some form of progression. Only getting a increase once you get to max would feel okay but it wouldn’t fully provide a sense of progression. The rate at which you gained could probably even be fairly slow if there was an incremental increase even. This would at least personally for me be preferable as it would give me more time to work toward my goal.
And youre complaining about world quests when you havnt touched the other 600 there are to do.
I completed my current content world quests, IF your about to suggest I go do old world content just stop. Thats a ridicules suggestion and you should feel bad for implying thats what people should have to resort to. I want to play the new things thank you very mcuh and that isn’t unreasonable.
After checking your profile you havnt done any current stuff either. So yes i can infer you to do old content cuz you wouldnt do that either
This is a great idea!
What are you talking about? Am currently loremaster, and done all the current world quests available to me. I look at the map there is nothing on there for me to do. Your being a little weird champ implying you know more about what I have and have not done then I myself know.
Post proof or delete thread. Also you just said you did everything. World quests are gonna take you 10 min to finish then youre done again. What are you gonna do? Come to the forums and complain again?
Ive got all day and ill say it again. There is plenty of things to do and i know you havnt done them all. World quests been more active wont solve anything
