I vote yes, but I’ve been playing Nintendo since NES Mario Bros/Duck Hunt. It’s a nice mobile set up along with a good docking system. I’ve been enjoying Hades and D3* on it as well as being able to play such things as Wave Race 64 due to the higher tier sub.
*Blizz, for the love of Deity, make it so we can link our PC account to it. That’s just lazy. D4 better have it.
Dont forget Monster Hunter Sunbreak, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Octopath Traveler, Battle Chasers Nightwar, Ruined King, Brigandine, Triangle Strategy, Xenoblade series, the playstation Final Fantasy Games, Hades… I can keep going. For a small system, there are a bunch of good games for it. And there is something very comforting playing the switch in handheld mode lying in bed.

The sub fee is $20 for the entire year.
I do enjoy playing the Nintendo classics you can go to shop and get for free.
I love Mario and Pokemon.

I hate Nintendo Switch Online, it makes so many games feel so useless. Now yes, the price isn’t bad, but I hate it because I only touch my switch every blood moon. I wish they didn’t bring back Skyward Sword on the switch, it isn’t a bad game but it was definitely not my favorite Zelda game. I just wish we could get some better options on the switch or even just free online access I don’t get why the older games are even included with the online access thing I feel like it should’ve been its own thing.
I like that none of the games I play are portable.
Some really good indies worth playing on it rather than Steam if you haven’t bought them on PC yet, too. Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Ori, Hades, The Messenger (and the upcoming Sea of Stars, an old school Chrono Trigger / Golden Sun style RPG). These games are nice to just sit in a big comfy armchair and play like in the Game Boy’s golden age.
Now, obviously, these could also all be played on a Steam Deck, and maybe you’d prefer to consolidate your games on only your Steam library. You 100% buy a Switch for the first party Nintendo exclusives. But after, if you are OK with buying some indies there rather than Steam, you can.
I haven’t touched my Switch in a year since I made my return last year to the game after I finished up taking care of family business.
They do have regular Nintendo games and Super Nintendo games in there own separate categories. Last I checked that is.
I just wish I can play some Pokemon classics or just have Pokemon in its own slot.
I have Super Mario Maker 2, making a few troll levels is fun.
I also just don’t like the big consoles not paying 5k for a PlayStation, but some people do it I suppose.
Everyone has different tastes.
Just sad, because I can play Sonic 1, 2, Sonic and Knuckles, but not Sonic 3.

I bought two. Some animal crossing one for my wife and a switch lite for me so I could play animal crossing with her. Also D3. Most of the games I have are things I already have on steam. And a few Nintendo exclusives I never play. Hers wasn’t a waste of money but mine was. I don’t recall the last time I actually used it. I was a Nintendo person as a kid, but jeez is Nintendo resting on their laurels and releasing mediocre to outright bad first party games recently. The PlayStation we have is better in terms of usefulness imo. Still prefer playing on my potato of a pc though.
I am not a big console person myself really. I don’t mind playing on consoles but that’s only if there’s an exclusive game that I really want to play that isn’t on PC. And I agree, consoles are a lot of money and aren’t really worth spending, to be honest. Especially when you can play most of them on steam.

The holy trinity of gaming for me has always been PC for the main cross platform stuff, Playstation for Sony exclusives and Nintendo for Nintendo exclusives, i can’t see myself wasting more money on a Steam Deck because it can’t do anything that my gaming PC or laptop can’t do (aside from be smaller i guess lol).
Is it possible to hook up a controller to a PC?
I don’t play well with regular games that I’m use to using a controller.

Yeah, I was a big Nintendo kid, but nowadays I just can’t really see myself wanting to login into my switch. There are no good titles really out that I am dying to play. A lot of the Nintendo games nowadays are just really bad that isn’t even a part of Nintendo. I feel like Nintendo only has only 20 games on their console.
Yes, it is. I do this for a lot of the games I play, even for some of the older ones.

Pokémon sword and shield were a disgrace imo. For how much money Gamefreak makes, there’s no excuse for such a bad product.
And yet I’m sitting here waiting for the next Pokémon game lol

if you get one the cheapest and most useful is probably some generic xbox one controller. can get them for like $20 or less USD and they work with nearly everything cuz they have a bunch of extra crap on them that playstation controllers don’t have i guess. i’ve never owned an xbox in my life but the controllers are comfy enough. plus if you ever want to do any platforming AT ALL you need a controller.

Yeah, that’s what my controller is. Just a real cheap one, but if need a recommendation then I’d recommend the Amazon lunar controller, I used it to play the Witcher 3, really nice it feels like an xbox controller. It’s a bit expensive but really nice. I also used another controller that was sort of like the ps4 its called: " ZD-V+ USB Wired Gaming Controller Gamepad For PC/Laptop" I like this controller quite a bit but I did have problems with it because of my palms but thats a personal issue for me
yeah you can go crazy with it but they may or may not even like it and i wouldn’t want to recommend something expensive-y to someone that just now figured out you can do that. you know? lol
I would have to look into that, thank you.
However, I will be looking for something simple or use to. I never used a x box or PlayStation controller.

Yeah, I had another one in mind, I forgot how expensive the Luna one was, I thought it was $25 dollars so that’s why I decided to edit my message with a cheaper one.
I used to feel that way when i was younger, but ive come to realize most sony exclusives are just cinematics with 10-15min play sessions in between
I had bought a ps4 and outside of persona 5, most of the exclusives i just watched lets plays of
Skipping the ps5, only game i would want for it is the remaster of demon souls but eldin ring is out and on pc so shrug~
