Should I buy a Nintendo switch?

I’ve been thinking about it for years, i just can’t shake the feeling that as soon as i give in any buy one, they’ll announce a hardware refresh lol

I was going too but all I’d use it for is the new Pokémon games which admittedly look good

Instead I spent $4k on a sim racing vr set up

If you like the games, sure.

Yes. Nintendo sucks at their packages, but if you like Mario, Zelda, Pokémon and Metroid, it’s well worth the asking price. Plus, it’s safe for kids.

Mario Kart 64 was my personal favorite. Though I have fond memories for the original on the SNES.

its simple really.

“is there a game you want to play that is only on the switch?”

If yes, then buy it.
if no, Why waste money on a platform that doesn’t provide a specific benefit that you want.

its nice to have “everything” but you dont “need” everything unless there is a reason for it.

other reasons to maybe get it is for the portability, to play with friends. or to have something to do when the power goes out.

for me, I like the pokemon games. so of course getting a Switch was mandatory.
but the new Xbox, its something i would like to get, but have no reason to bother so its not worth the time money or effort until something comes up that makes it worth it.

xbox one works fine for me. (for now)

I love my switch, but I’ve always been a fan of the nintendo franchise

I bought it because I wanted to play Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Oddyssey, very much enjoy both games.

I bought Animal Crossing during covid lockdown and enjoyed it (for what it is, very simple, cute, fun worldbuilding of a sort) but didn’t really dedicate the time to it htat it needs.

My brother got owned in battle mode. I was malicious back then. Now, I am out of practice. Still have fun nonetheless.

Well . . . the switch DOES have Smash Bros, sword and shield, Legends Arceus, Kirby, BotW, Odyssey, AND Scarlet and Violet are just round the corner! and how can you say no to that? have you SEEN the starters?!?

I keep thinking I want to buy one for the main games of the system or to have something to play with the Mrs but I never end up getting it
