I think you’ve misunderstand what an exploit is. This wasn’t duping crimson death chargers or onyx panthers. This was playing the game as designed except they put quest reward values a little too high. They fixed it WAY quicker than their MO and if you look at AH prices they are on par with every other new phase rush. Maybe instead of spending all your time complaining on the forums you could go farm some mats and get a piece of the pie too.
They should have just left it in play.
Yeah these people don’t actually seem to understand what an exploit is.
Actually the worst drop
Hardcore was tone deaf, but at least a more classic format.
This is honestly just bad. Probably SWEs and designers without any game theorists in the team.
Nope. Its actually a pretty good solution to a problem perpetuated almost execlusively by the developers. If youve ever raided in classic, you used GDKP to fund raid consumes because everything else was botted.
Just bad take after bad take from you.
We are making classic plus right now together. Forging something better for the future
Definitely not with this dev team. The classic + dream is dead, we got classic retail.
I think SoD is best enjoyed when you’re not trying to be a sweat lord. This mentality that you have to race to everything is hurting people’s enjoyment. Just take your time. Play at your own pace. There are plenty of people that aren’t obsessed with being 50 on day 1 and raiding ST. Just relax.
I think SoD right now is best enjoyed unsubbed. I’m going to wait until they hire someone new to lead the dev team.
That’s fair. The thing is a lot of people say stuff like that, and then they just keep playing anyway. I’m not saying you’re a hypocrite, but I’ve done stuff like that in the past. Ultimately, I realized that I was way too invested in a video game for my own health. Just realizing that WoW isn’t going anywhere is a good thing. Push away. Do something else. Go for a walk. Go do something you used to enjoy before you started playing WoW.
Come back when you feel relaxed and not playing the game with some set of added expectations/stress.
I unsubbed for almost the entirety of phase 2 after raiding every lockout P1. Unsubbed today and will be doing the same for P3.
While I appreciate the genuine response, and good advice, Im not sure my confidence in their team is coming back without some severe changes and public acknowledgment of the problem. This is what the did in retail, and why i even had an active sub for sod.
For what it’s worth, I’m in a similar boat.
I loved P1. Did 1 raid lockout of P2, and haven’t played since. It’s not that I don’t like classic WoW. I’m just not a fan of the spoonfed method. And that’s okay. I’m just not the target audience anymore. The pacing of SoD is more retail than classic. While that was fun for a bit, it’s just not what I prefer.
IMO, as an aside, I would have preferred more classic content that wasn’t reminiscent of retail. I appreciate that there are even devs at Blizzard willing to take a chance on classic content, but I am starting to realize that the game isn’t for me anymore.
I’ll just be one of those cyclical retail players that levels up and goofs off in new content.
Don’t forget the belt bombs that caused the floor glitch making guilds get World/Realm firsts.
But those exploits were reverted. And those players all got banned from the game.
A roll back to the patch day wouldn’t be a bad thing to do to these players…
But blizzard needs to start being stricter about what they want. And actually be consistent on it.
If you find an exploit and don’t report it. BAN
The second you don’t report and exploit it you are breaking terms of service and should be held accountable.
This wasn’t an exploit.
You’re still getting money from the quests, can you still blow the floor up on those bosses?
This wasn’t an exploit.
If the multiplier was intended, why was it hot fixed so quickly?
You do realize that they said that SoD is effectively a PTR, right?
Okay? Then roll it back, it’s just a PTR.
They’re gonna do whatever they want.
It was intended, then it wasn’t.
Would you say a person exploited because they played a class before it got nerfed?
If anything, you are confusing a oversight with the term exploit. Nowhere near the same thing.
clearly you havent played wow as long as you claim after that statement. Exploiting has been around for over 20 years… Your fix is to roll back servers and stuff over thousands of players whom were able to enjoy the new content early is possibly the stupidest thing i have ever read. I have missed hundreds of exploits but never once whined about it. Level 50 incursions arent that far behind with the gold gained. Maybe play the game and whinge less.
Rofl stopped playing 3 weeks ago cause of all the bots and game is just unfun
