Should Blizzard stop all paid for carry groups?

What about those that take the money and run? I’ve seen a story or two of that happening too.

It’s a shady business and if allowed there should be some built-in system to make sure everyone holds up to their end if the deal else someone gets suspended.

Have some system where you place your ads on a board… people buy your services and when all done they give you a 1 to 10 star rating. Your average rating shows up on your ads.

Why would you stop it? The raid has something you want and you don’t have a group good enough of your own. Pay for it, just like in the real world.

Does it devalue the achievement? Only if you require external validation. You and your group know what you accomplished. Should be doing it for fun, not to flaunt your epeen.

I personally do not see the issue with paying for carries. The only problem I have with it is the fact that gold = cash since the WoW token exists. But that’s a problem I have with the WoW token, not the players or economy.

Is that really a thing? I mean they are not even real, who would care?

I do.

And I agree with the complaints about limited time content. Content should not be taken out of the game for any reason. If the rewards are limited time, put new high end rewards or the equivalent to open world quest rewards in. I don’t care about the rewards, I care about the content. After all, I am not playing this game for virtual dragons, I am playing the game for the game and the more of it, the better!

Wrong.

A hidden profile and a one word response. I’m shocked

You shouldn’t be since you stated something wrong. Gold carries were happening in Vanilla so no it won’t be the death of the game.

They may have been happening but the focus of the game was people PLAYING the game, and earning there rewards. Now every city chat is filled with them looking to sell. The Dungeon and raid tools are filled with players selling runs. Its toxic and it will spell trouble

And there is nothing wrong with someone paying for a carry to acquire those things. What others choose to spend their gold on is none of your business.

Nope, this has been happning for a long time. Nothing different about it now.

Also people are still doing this:

Don’t see it happening but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings none. Why should people help anybody if you can profit from them instead. Then again chances are the people who charge for paid runs wouldn’t help anybody anyways.

I’m not advocating for its removal. I merely stated it needs to brought to kneel. A proper place to advertise. Rules to regulate the activities. If you want to pay to win, your time and your wasted money, but lets not ram it down everybodies throats with the never ending advertising of it. If people want it blizzard needs to add a tool to facilitate it.

It isn’t possible. Also, you know Blizzard employee’s also sell runs for gold right?

I have made threads in the past asking for Blizzard to make contracts that could be sold on AH to facilitate runs and protect the sellers and buyers. This could eliminate the spam as well.

For gold? Absolutely not. That’s as much a part of the game’s economy as anything else.

RMT, though? Destroy that, ruthlessly and without remorse. Ban the people who pay for the stuff, ban the people who advertise and sell the stuff, and figuratively nuke their computers from orbit for all I care. Just get rid of anyone who engages in RMT.

its why i laugh a little when i hear people relying in IO they get what they deserve. But yeah i think all currency carries regardless of currency should be banned.

All those groups end up selling for real money carry and and pilots. Main reason why those groups will NEVER be stopped? Some of them have Blizzard workers in them. There is no way that Blizzard does not know this stuff is happening.

Just going by the title, no I don’t think they should. Players will buy a carry because they can’t get into a group.
That’s why they do it, for the score.

An easy fix for this is to loosen up the restrictions, take a chance on someone with no IO score.
People won’t do that because human nature.

The problem with CN servers isn’t carry groups. It’s the fact that RMT carry groups can advertise blatantly and not be punished for it.

And do you know why they sell carries now? It’s because they can’t sell gold since Blizzard essentially killed that market overnight by implementing Tokens.

Friendship currency is used quit a bit!
