That one is ok and i’m 100% on board with that one. Because friendship carries often get people to learn mechanics and how to play which is just better for the community as a whole.
I don’t agree, the same half of my guild always parses around 0-10 on warcraftlogs. I don’t see them getting any better anytime soon.
RIP D: i dont understand how people can not get better outside of mythic raiding this game is easy peasy lemon squeazy. If raiding wasn’t so boring i would have so many aotc and raiding achievements.
I don’t think Blizzard should stop paid carries but honestly people are wasting their time if they are paying for someone else to play the video game for them.
I’d quit the game in a second if I ever found myself thinking about doing that.
Why is paying someone to complete a raid for you bad when we are absolutely fine with paying someone to play every other aspect of the game for you?
I am just curious why raiding/m+ payment is the only thing that crosses the line, when every single other aspect of WoW you can have people paid to do it for you…and its ok.
Honestly I don’t care but I am annoyed with the constant spamming of selling runs in Trade chat. It’s nonstop from various “communities” that seem to have people on every server peddling their wares.
It’s worse than the gold sellers so yes I want Blizzard to crack down on it somehow. Just because it’s obnoxious and spammy, not necessarily because I feel that you shouldn’t be able to sell runs.
Obviously Trade chat should be removed completely, and no one should sell anything.
I don’t want anyone to advertise doing any action for someone else for gold.
It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t constant spam spam spam. It reminds me of the gold sellers and how every few seconds you’d see “WTS Wow gold” only now it’s every few seconds a different person spamming “Selling H Ny’alotha/M+15/Jaina mount GOLD ONLY”
paying gold to do content is a way to play this game. just cause it isn’t the way you think the game should be played doesn’t make it any less valid.
I agree. I think achievements are pointless. Don’t like them in any game because if I’m not getting any thing physical from it they are worthless to me. Though I do understand why people like them since it feels like it’s some sort of accomplishment to others.
I do think the spamming of tc should be scaled back. Maybe they could make a carry sell channel and if ppl dont use those functions but wish to see regular tc chatter they could opt to turn it off.
I’ve never supported the idea, like you stated: it offers on challenge, sense of accomplishment, and people who do it; deserve nothing as far as rewards go. IMO.
It also floods the system with “WTS me run you in dung” and only people with tons of gold run the best dungs.
TLDR. no
how silly to ban part of the economy of an mmo, an economy that has existed in every single mmo since the 90’s
people found a way to make gold and that upsets you. it has nothing to do with over geared players not being able to play. and if that were the case that is pretty crappy of you to want everyone on the game to run 50 addons and be a perfect robot.
I barely read any of it. No. They shouldn’t.
Because, It could happen anywhere.
I feel confident NetEase could not force Blizzard to let them be the ones to run and manage WoW in the US or EU.
Gawd, I hope not.
Sorry, it’s far too long for me, but there’s a simple reason the economy is in the state that it is: Because people can buy gold from Blizzard with real money.
All those carries, all those gold sinks… I’m pretty sure the vast majority of them are bought with real money.
I make about 150k a week passively while playing. Imagine buying level boosts, vision carries, m+ carries, raid carries, mounts, BoEs… The % of players that actually make enough gold themselves for all of that is really really low.
Carries always existed, and so has gold buying, but never to the extent that they blew up to after the introduction of the WoW token.
This isn’t a rant against the token, it’s a necessary evil. If they didn’t start taking a slice of that, the game would have died a long time ago.
It was never supported by Blizzard lol . Its a your gold your loss either way
Blizzard should have more of the pie than the unofficial sellers.
I’m thinking a Carry Token.
