Should a Paladin be wielding a 2h Sword or 2h Mace?

You get hit by an 8 foot, refrigerator built, alien :goat: by the Silver Hand and you’ve definitely been vengeanced.

I am using a big mean hammer now, but it really don’t matter because you can mog it to whatever you want.

Think it depends on race…

Human - either can work but would probably go with sword

Dwarf - Axe or Mace seems better

Draenei - Sword or Mace

Blood Elf - Sword

Etc…etc

yeah and the mage tower appearance of the silver hand is the best… it goes perfectly with the MoP challenge mode set for paladins.

Although they all look cool, I like the blue-tinged one called Power Realized.

Both Sword in one hand Hammer in the other :dracthyr_tea:

Mace is more “iconic” for a Paladin.

We like to take our time tenderizing evil villains to bend them to the lights will.

Yrel knows what I’m sayin.

Yes

Ashbringer is iconic, so sword would make sense. However, I played Cleric often in other MMOs, so I prefer 1 mace/1shield, flails too hehe.

It’s been awhile but in vanilla I think the paladin quest rewarded you with a 2h mace, and in TBC Blood Elf paladins got a polearm. Tirion and Turalyon both use 2h swords.

Honestly anything but an axe works for me

I always thought Paladins would have sword/mace and shield as their weapons, though I guess for Ret, a 2H Mace would fit too!

Ahhh, but Turalyon originally used a two-handed mace, his preferred weapon. The reason he now uses a sword is to honor his fallen hero and the greatest warrior of Azeroth, Anduin Lothar.

That’s true, Lothar was awesome

A fiery axe!

it doesnt exist

I always opt for either a Sword or Polearm.

I normally go off of the individual paladins mentality.

My main started using a two handed sword cause she was angry and wanted literal Retribution. Later she calmed down though and switched to the more traditional hammer for the Silver Hand.

My Retribution paladin Blood Knight using the polearm though she used a sword earlier. Shes still drawing the Light by force rather than through belief from the Sunwell so shes still kinda grumpy in general as a person. So keeps to the swords and ransuers.

My tauren Sunwalkers tend to use maces and hammers normally trying to get a more morning star look to em.

why because you say so, no. saw a topic that i like and ill respond to it when i see it. can you can you PLEASE stop with the crying ?

Dwarves are like the only race aside from Orcs where it’s thematically appropriate to use an axe tho, and Orcs can’t be Paladins.
