If you’re any race shorter than a belf, then a hammer. Everyone else will use swords. The big problem with 2h maces is that blizz has them all anchored their ends smack bang in the middle of the characters back. This results in all 2h maces looking incredibly goofy on anything taller than a belf.
A (Retribution) Paladin should be using a 2-hander that best suits them, be it a sword, an axe, a hammer, or even a polearm. Some may be more “iconic” than others, but we’re not a class chasing after fads. We have great hair and we protect the people. Those are the important things.

Paladins should be able to dual wield shields.
A 2H comb.
Doesn’t matter what you wield as long as you look good doing it.
I’m partial to swords but there are some maces that just have paladin written all over them that they work nice.
I usually do the broken ashbringer as my tmog though.
I think the problem is games keeping us from doing this, like, generally speaking.

Except a swing against a heavily armored individual could liquefy internal organs with the force that anyone in WarCraft exerts~ To say nothing of potentially lethal concussions!

Swords for me, I almost can never find a good 2h mace that matches with most the mogs I come up with for my various Paladins.
He’s a close second, I’ll give you that. Well and yea then there’s that fact that he is still relevant and Uther isn’t.

Turalyon uses a sword only as an acknowledgement to his hero and the Lion of Azeroth, Anduin Lothar. Otherwise his preferred weapon is a hammer.
