Should a CM be snarky on twitter?

He is blaming the community for what his company has done. Not acceptable.

Yes. Twatter is for memes. If you want to complain then send them a professional email.

That is it in a nutshell!

No, he is not, and the more you lie about what he’s doing the more foolish you look. But hey, if you want to keep digging that hole for yourself by all means.

I mean hell man, he wasn’t even talking about Blizzard in that tweet, he was referring to EA and their recent layoffs. Unless I missed something, EA is not Activision-Blizzard, nor is it Blizzard Entertainment.

A lie would require me to have known the truth and spoke falsely. In this case, I would just have been mistaken. Sorry for thinking he was talking about WoW devs instead of EA devs.

But I fully and completely applaud your dedication to making sure the facts are straight and not making any completely unfounded statements.

I look forwards to reading all your replies to everyone in this thread thinking he was talking about Blizzard and not EA.

Why would I lie about what he said when it is clearly there?

I am not misconstruing what he posted.

Now, if he wants to follow up and clarify that is fine with me. But I doubt that ever happens.

Again, where’s the snark in that Twitter?

Would you consider it snarky coming from someone you’d never heard of?

Maybe… just maybe because you’re deliberately omitting the fact that he wasn’t even talking about Blizzard in that tweet? A lie by omission is still a lie.

His tweet was in response to the recent EA firings, you (and others in this ‘community’) somehow decided that despite the timing showing that this was clearly in response to the recent EA layoffs, that he was somehow taking potshots at the WoW community.

This entire thread is built on a lie and you and the others who twisted what Lore said to attack him here should be ashamed.

He is taking pot shots at the community. He is implying we must blindly support the devs or else more firings may occur.

But as we all know his company decided to fire people when it made record profits even when players have shown support to the company during a year of slow content cycle company wide.

Again, more lies and reaching. He never even remotely stated blind support, he said ‘support’ end of story. He did not claim that he wanted people to be blindly fanatical, or that he wanted no criticism. His musing was that he would appreciate if people offered support to developers before they got fired.

The more I chip away at you, the more ridiculous you appear. As I said, keep digging that hole, because you’re only making yourself look worse.

Lol. You can probably qualify for the Olympics with a leap like that.

You might want to take a look at some of our post history. Folks like Cyouskin and myself aren’t exactly kind to Blizzard when direct criticism is warranted. And in my case it’s especially warranted given they took away a feature a fair number of disabled players like myself needed to accomodate our disabilities and then never even opened up a dialogue with us about it, leaving us hanging out to dry.

But I’m also even handed as well. I’ll hit back at the players if they’re in the wrong just as I’d snap at Blizzard’s employees if they’re wrong. I don’t play favorites or suck up to the boss as it were. That’s the one thing neither Blizzard nor the players can legitimately accuse me of.

Nope.

We do not have to support Blizz when they put out an inferior product. It is a choice and one we should be allowed to be make and not decreed by a so called “CM”. We are the customers and we make the choices.

Furthermore, players supported the company which made record profits and yet they laid people off. This has happened before during Activision-Blizzard as well as other companies.

But laying the blame on players? Not cool. Ever.

Did not happen. You saying it over and over again doesn’t make it true.

I mean, if saying something multiple times made it true, I’d be a very rich man by now.

He said “support”.

Paying for the product is support. What more does he want? Praise?

Praise comes after you do your job. Not before you haven’t done anything.

Here is a hint. When working customer service praise is a bonus and not mandatory. Support is not mandatory other than customers providing the money. End.

I’m an equal-opportunity offender.

Hell, I’m not even subbed because I don’t enjoy BFA. I have other things going on too, but BFA hasn’t kept my attention well enough to warrant a continued subscription. (I unsubbed during WOD and Legion too, fwiw).

I’m not subbed because I physically can’t play the game without exclusive fullscreen mode, which I need for my software to hook properly to accomodate my deformed right arm. I even lost the last six months of game time to being unable to play and Blizzard refused to even compensate me for that much. Would love to play right now, if for nothing else than to ease the lovely depression I’ve been in since I was unceremoniously locked out of the game.

Sucks a lot. :frowning:
