even with that it would in no way represent the whole of bg participation at all really.
its just “oh it happened to me!!! it must be a trend !” .
1 person out of thousands and thousands who pvp doesnt make for a good sample size for the over all .
Proceeds to provide no data.
I usually see 3-5 Paladins per BG. Paladins clearly are OP!
If OP PvPs as much as they claim to do to be so intimate with this problem, it wouldn’t be too much of an impost to have a few dozen games under their belt and have a reasonable sample.
The shaman crying is obnoxious. “But they’re the most played class by far!”
Seriously people, do some research before you make yourself look stupid.
Going by the number of logs in ST, basically the same number of people are playing shaman and paladin but continue on with your crusade without any data to back it up.

you would move the goalpost and call it anecdotal, I can find videos on youtube of dudes scrolling through the enemy team showing literally what you’re asking for but it won’t be a good enough answer for this facetious little debate until you get hard data that we just do not have access to
yeah man totally, go by the number of logs in the PVE raid to extrapolate how many people are playing the OP class in battlegrounds
It’s not “moving the goalpost” when it is a statistical fact that small samples yield extreme results. If somebody has a few dozen games documented, I’d be happy to review that.
I doubt there would be more than 3-5 Shamans average per game. Which - as has been pointed out by myself and others - is not higher than the proportion of Paladins to other classes on Alliance.
So… if the thrust of OP’s argument is class representation = level of being overpowered…
Hey, it’s good enough for OP, who keeps saying he knows what Shaman PvP in SoD is like because he was a Resto PvE Shaman in Classic!
here you go moron. since wow forums won’t let me post a link you can literally go to warcraft tavern . com / poppulation / classic.
now i know based on the 4head in your comments youre probably going to fudge up reading the graphs and only compare the dark blue bar to every other bar as opposed to comparing it to the graph above and realizing how much of the horde playerbase literally is just shaman.
so just to expalin to you how the graph works. click on the link for a server. look at the top graph. look how small or large a player count there are on the horde relative to alliance. then look at the player count of each class. realize that the player counts for every class other than shaman and paladin include both factions. now also look at the number of alliance players relative to the number of horde players and notice how there are still more shaman players than paladin players although most servers are 2:1 aliance dominated.
“bUt I nEeD a WeBsItE” now get off my forum thread.
Damn dropped a 44 kill AB tonight…… mmm mmm mm yeah.
I hope my class continues to ruin SoD until the devs give shaman a proper 2h spec.
Lots of OP classes right now in PVP. I was hitting this warlock with everything I had, chimera shot, aimed shot, traps, viper sting to try to drain his damn mana and yeah his health was barely moving. Unkillable.
thats pretty impressive ngl regardless of the state of shaman
According to that website, on my server Alliance are disproportionately represented compared to Horde and Warriors, Mages, Priests, Druids and Hunters are all more represented than Shamans.
LMAO
yea i knew you were going to completely ignore my comment about how to read the graph then only just read the one graph and make the comment you did just like i said you would you blithering idiot. go figure out how the graphs work and get back to me.
you know whats funny?
i just got done playing 7+ ab and 1 stv tonight .
the amount of times i saw 3 or more shaman in ab?
2
i saw 3 in one cause me and a shaman buddy who is also enh had a guildie come that is a healing shaman.
one of them there were 6 shaman of all varying specs.
all the others i saw more stacking (3 or more) of druids priests and paladins . in multiple games i saw this.
1 of them was like 6 rogues who gave the flag defenders fits cause of all their stuns and blinds and saps and crap.
surely my personal experience counts too right?
btw the whole time there was me and another shaman in the group and again only 2 games with 3 or more shaman out of 7+ games. (lost count at 7 was probably more).
so ya . maybe you got unlucky ? maybe a few people you know got unlucky? maybe the videos you are being fed are also on the alogorithim of what you constantly feed yourself and reinforce your own personal bias?
this doesnt automatically mean it represents the whole of the playerbase and in specific the pvp bg queuing base.
everyone is playing cata right now man we’re on medium poppulation. im sure if there are abnormalities it will be now.
edit: horace still trying to figure out how the graphs work
its simple horace go mouse over the furthest left horde/alliance bar. take crusader strike for example. notice the horde pop is 10.5k right now. now go hover over the amount of shamans there are which is just over 3k. its like this on every realm. a third of your faction is shaman now go run along now.

I hope to run into you in an AB so we can compete in mortal combat, Stone Guard
I did ignore your comment because I was too busy laughing at how your own source contradicts your argument, and now you’re backpeddling to justify why the data you provided is wrong.
If people are just congregating to the most OP class - which is exactly what you said (“bandwagon effect”) why are there more Alliance players than Horde players?
And Shamans only constitute 25% of Horde according to that graph. Which is less than you keep claiming. (5+ ShAmAnS iN eVeRy BG!)
the graphs we currently have are based off incomplete data and dont really matter to be honest.
there is no armory and no pvp ranking poll from the armory or any data on who is playing bgs and who isnt.
some people only play for pve . where do they matter at all in a pvp poll?
please quit throwing up incomplete data and “but muh personal experience” as if it were some sort of anchor point to the whole truth.
remember now horace there are 8 classes per faction.
hmmmm lets see living flame 7.3k horde anddd 2k shaman.
and lone wolf? 8.7k horde and 2.4k shaman
